(High Definition) Ultra Wide Angle Conversion Lens (Low Profile) Compatible with Sony PXW-X70 (

I use this for shooting video in heavy equipment cabs where it is impossible to use a full size PDW 800. The WA Adapter increases field of view by about 50%, greatly improving the coverage I get with the X70 sans WA adapter. I never use glass without a clear filter so got ultra thin 82mm. Have to zoom slightly to eliminate corners yet am still getting 50% more image than without adapter. I paid close to 2 grand for a WA adapter for pdw 800 82mm Broadcast lens and, really, the resultant image from X70 at XDCAM 422 50 XAVC is par with PDW 800, allowing for smaller chip and absence of DDC. I recommend this product for all X70 users.

Adapter would distort images at full wide, and at full zoom. Would not work with stabilization properly.Lens hood is seen when all the way wide.Returned product, and got nailed a 20% restocking fee.Avoid this product.
