Tastes great, simple ingerdients
Have tried many Carne asada blends and marinades... This one is simply the best.... Add Orange Juice, Soy and Olive Oil to create a marinade..... I aslo added a TBSP of Kinder's Red Jalopeno Garlic Spice for a slight kick of heat to make a great marinade even better...

I love this seasoning. No fillers or trash, just flavor, and lots of it. Second only yo homemade. Great seasoning!

False advertisement
This tastes nothing like carne asada. It's really no different than what you get from the grocery store in a box of taco shells.

Fantastic Carne Asada Seasoning!
This Riega Organic Carne Asada Street Taco Seasoning is so yummy! I used the recipe on the back of the packet, which is intended for 2 lbs of steak, with a few alterations. I was using vegan cashew fruit meat and did not pre-marinate it, but just simmered it in the seasoning packet, orange juice, soy sauce, and (less) oil as per the recipe. I served it over a taco salad. So convenient and the flavors are amazing!

Not Bad... Simple Recipe
It's okay tasting... the flavor isn't really what I think of as carne asada that I'd get at a taco truck or restaurant, but it did make a decent meal at home. The packet has no salt in it, so it's relying on the soy sauce for all the salt - if you're using low sodium soy sauce, consider adding extra salt to help with the flavor and rendering of the fat. Paprika is more for the color, so it being first also doesn't help with the intensity of flavor.Otherwise, the instructions are simple, and easy to follow. I pulled out the extra juices at the beginning of the cook, then added them back in towards the end to add flavor back in after the meat browned. I also used the juices on some grilled onion, which ended up tasting more flavorful than the meat - definitely recommend doing that. The price is reasonable for a purchased recipe, but I think your use may vary depending on the quality of your soy sauce, and what type of oil you use.Ordered June 2023Best by May 2025 (23 months)Made in the USA.
