Must read for Danger Days lovers! 🕷
Danger Days is my favorite MCR album due to the amount of story and worldbuilding that’s packed into it and I’m a big fan of The Umbrella Academy so I had to get this. Didn’t disappoint at all! It was a very engaging story and had good characters. Likable protagonist and supporting characters, interesting antagonist, and was cool to see the human side of Korse. Val Velocity is a strange dude and I was never bored to see what he was up to. There’s also two major-ish characters who are canonically queer (won’t spoil which ones) which I think is cool. I wouldn’t call this Gerard’s best work but it’s a fun read and if you like the universe behind Danger Days as much as I do it’s definitely worth the read imo. Don’t let yourself get too attached to anyone though because a lot of people die!Overall ratings:Story - 7.5/10.Art - 10/10! Becky Cloonan is very skilled and her art is very dynamic and beautifulCharacters - 8/10. Character designs are great & they are well written; they all have distinct and unique personalities. The girl can sometimes feel a bit flat (not always, most of the time she’s good) imo but otherwise all is great. They’re not the greatest characters of all time or anything but they’re definitely enjoyable.Overall - 8.5/10!Totally recommend!“If Satan screams out loudAnd violence is the only soundWhen the engines come squealingDemons reelingThe dance ground, just a mask among the crowd. You need to hold on tight toWhatever gets you through the night.Beyond the coverPages give you color. That ink will never run dryKilljoys…Killjoys never die.”

Did not disappoint
Honestly, I was having a rough couple of months, so I wanted to cheer myself up with something fun to read. And that I did. Originally I didn't know what to expect, but considering what I got and how much I paid for it, I definitely made the right choice.I ordered a hardcover copy, and other than the box it was shipped in, everything arrived in basically perfect condition, and the shipping is beyond seller control, so I can't complain. As for the contents of the book itself, I was very pleased with the overall print quality and the vibrancy of the illustrations. The hardcover print is a fair bit bigger than the average book, which is convenient for me because I have vision issues, so I would consider that a plus as long as you have space for it. Definitely a good purchase, so if you're thinking about it, I'd encourage you to go for it. Very solid investment.

They loved it!
I bought for my niece. She has read it several times already! I don't know what the book is about but it must be a great read!

This Is What You’re Looking For...
The media could not be loaded. The quality is amazing, it’s a densely packed hardcover comic book. Colors are vibrant (all the way down to the bookmark), and it’s quite heavy. The art is super detailed and includes everything you’re expecting! I’d highly recommend any killjoy (or killjoy fan) to buy it! And it makes for a pretty mean coffee table book. Seriously, if you want a quality library edition you’ve come to the right place. I just got it today actually, I checked my orders and it said it would come between then and 8pm, but after I checked, it arrived at my doorstep! I had it on pre-order.

Blade Runner meets Mad Max--with masks and wild hairdos
The intricate puzzle pieces of artwork, coloring, and story come together enjoyably, with an interesting philosophical twist at the end. Gerard Way sums it up perfectly in the afterword: "Real people don't have wars with sci-fi dystopian megaconglomerates. They get up and go to work. They show up on time, they live in the minute, and not in the fog present." But for reliving those teenage moments when it was you against the world, and having a fantastic outfit could make all the difference, it's a great companion piece to the "Danger Days" album.

This was interesting
I love Gerard Way so this was a must have. Through the first five issues the pacing and story telling was excellent. But something I've noticed with Gerard is he has trouble writing an ending, or more specifically it seems he needs more issues to work with than just six. In the final issue the ending is very much rushed and everything is solved and happens tremendously fast. But besides that, this is something that is fun to read with some call backs to the My Chemical Romance album which was fun.
