We got this because the cat needed a diet and the gravity feeder we had allowed her to eat whenever she wanted all day long. With this feeder we set up a nice little feeding schedule and put her on a diet. She's down 8 lbs and the vet is ecstatic. We highly recommend this feeder!

This has been a staple in our house. We have multiple animals and this has been a game changer for us - and it doubles as the food storage at the top which is perfect to save space

It advertises having a gravity mode that "senses if the bowl needs refilling" but that's a lie. It just unconditionally dumps food into the bowl every 6 hours until it jams. So you have a massive overflowing bowl constantly, and get spammed with error messages about the chute being full or the motor jammed.So just consider "gravity" mode to be a lie. It's not a feature that's usable. Only buy this if you're going to be using timed schedules.

product broke ... there was no one answered me to get replacement part because it was bought within a month.. horrible customer service

For how expensive this thing is, you'd think it would have sensors that work properly and have timely notifications. If this thing thinks it's empty, it will not even try to dispense food even if there are still a couple of cups loaded. That could be a day or two of extra time someone would have to address the issue.

Over the past four years, I have utilized various food dispensers, and my clever cat has employed numerous tricks and magic to outsmart them in order to access food. However, I have finally come across a food dispenser that has been skillfully designed to outwit my intelligent feline. Although it may be slightly expensive, it is easy to manage and definitely worth the investment in the long term. I only wish I had discovered this dispenser four years ago, as it would have saved me a lot of trouble.

I have used this robot almost 90 days now.The first thing I liked is that it was already essentially put together and there really aren't too many parts to remove when cleaning.I love that I can increment the feedings down to 1/8 of a cup per meal. I actually am now using 1/4 cup per meal, 4 meals a day, because I have 2 cats. They are spread out to 7am, 12pm, 5pm and 10pm to give my cats a chance to eat the food. Sometimes they don't keep up so I get a Chute Full error, but the robot trys again to dispense the food. This can also happen if it is time for me to clean the robot, which I try to do every month. It is very easy to clean. The food is a little moist even though it is a dry cat food, so crumbs can build up. Otherwise, this runs great and I actually forget about it most of the time. A third way the food may not dispense is when a void is created in the basket because the rest of the food didn't move down to where the chute was. I just have to move the food around closer to the chute and all is well.Make sure you wait until the robot is on before you fill the robot with food. This so it gets a better feel for what is empty and what is full. It doesn't like it to get too empty though, so I keep a lot in the basket.In the beginning I had to contact the company because the chute didn't seem to work right. They explained to me I probably needed to adjust the feeding times so the cats could keep up and the food wouldn't jam the chute. That worked. I also don't use the kibble insert so I can put more food into the robot.You can hear the food being dispensed so when it happens, my cats' ears perk up. They know they just got more food. I highly recommend this to all cat owners. It sure gives me some extra time where I don't have to think about the cat food, although I do monitor the application.
