Hana & Hina After School Vol. 2 (Hana & Hina After School, 2)

I read the first volume of Hana and Hina and it was a good introduction. Hana and Hina work at a shop but they risk expulsion as their school has a rule against students having jobs. There is also the matter of Hina having been a model and school officials don't think she reflects the image they want to project. This volume picks up the pace and has a situation typical for a Milk Morinaga story as Hana and Hina realize their attraction to each other. Much of the story here is Hina's. She seems ambivalent about her orientation, she doesn't want to hurt Hana, and even contemplates quitting her job. Hana is given her own bit of difficulty when she meets a girl who describes herself as being Hina's ex. There is a sad, funny scene when Hina discusses her attraction to Hana with her friends. She doesn't mention either name or gender and her friends have visions of a sweet, sensitive guy. The volume ends as Hana and Hina attend a festival and Hana starts to realize her feelings for Hina might go beyond friendship. Hana and Hina After School is a strong series about what happens when unlikely people find themselves falling in love.

This story picks up right after sports day with Hana going to visit Hina. But soon a rift opens between them as Hana asks about Hina's past and also jealousy of Hana's one friend. While the two work to overcome this, Hana meets a girl who says she was Hina's Ex. Will these two different, yet same girls be able to overcome these obstacles or will it split them apart before they realize they have something special?I truly love this series so far. From the opening chapter to the end the two girls both struggle with changes, other people in the others life, and the past. The first part is mostly told from Hina's perspective as she struggles with her feelings of the past and how she feels about Hana, with the final chapter being Hana's eyes and the realization that Hina is more than a friend to her. The only thing that sucks about this series is that we have to wait so long for the next volume and we need to see how Hina's ex will stir things up for the two. (also this really needs to be animated, I would support it in a heartbeat).

The girls have had a few more misunderstandings, but everything is finally falling into place. Hina is trying to work up the courage to tell Hana how she feels, & Hana is starting to realize she has feelings for Hina, which was spurred on when someone important from Hina's past suddenly shows up at the shop.

Book 3 I had a tough time finding.

I love the time the author takes to develop the characters and relationships. I also enjoy the internal struggles and realizations the character go through.

A really great series

Great story but sadly only three volumes and mostly out of print now.

Read the rest of the volumes and am enjoying the story line. Am now waiting for the next volume and I recommend this manga to any one who likes reading Yuri manga or watching Yuri Anime.

hana and hina is one of the great yuri mangas and will always have a spot on my keeping shelf.

Came in well protected, the book itself is clean, feels fresh and the text is well worded and clear.

En este tomo es el más flojo a mi opinión ya que se nota que Milk Morinaga toma prestada algunasescenas de sus anteriores trabajos.
