Inexpensive, budget wheel that works!
This inexpensive wheel is not going to have the quality materials of a $1000 pottery wheel. Everything is made of thinner and lighter material. BUT for the price it is an amazing value. The folks, who designed this wheel, were able to pull together a well-functioning wheel with modest materials. In short, it works and seems to work quite well. I've not had it long enough to speak to its durability. The wheel is low, so you will need to raise it about 8 inches, depending on your preferences. I started out with a pair of concrete blocks, which seemed to be about right for me. But because I needed to move the wheel about from time to time, I built a small lightweight base out of scrap wood. The wheel has more power than I expected. I've centered 3 lbs of clay with ease and the motor did not slow. Something to consider is that the overall weight of the wheel is around 25 lbs. So, if you are going to lean in for centering larger pieces, you may want to place the wheel against a wall or something heavy so that it does not move. The foot control is very responsive. I can slow it down to a crawl. The high end speed seems about right for centering. All in all, it was an excellent buy.2024 UPDATE: The speed control has become very difficult to adjust at the lower speeds. When trying to increase the speed just a little, it speeds up rapidly and has destroyed a couple of pieces that I was throwing. I suspect it is the foot pedal. I checked inside and found that it uses plastic gears and I suspect that it now has some play in the speed adjustment. Bummer.

Great beginner pottery wheel
The media could not be loaded. I had to return my first order, there was some serious wear marks on it where it may have been dropped. It's pretty heavy so I'm not surprised I guess. The package had plenty of padding inside so I could only think it came from the factory this way.Nothing too complicated really, so the parts seem of reasonable standard. Wheel spins at consistent and easily controllable speeds. It is quite large but with that and the weight, it makes it pretty stable. The white bowl around the wheel comes off easy making it a breeze to clean. The foot pedal cord length makes it great for either side of the wheel making it very easy to use. There is a slight whine from the motor but not a deal breaker.

Great machine for polishing resin dice
I purchased this to help speed up the process of dice polishing for hand cast dice, and it has worked pretty well! I did have an issue early on where it wouldn't turn on after some use, but it hasn't happened in a while and only happened once or twice. The size is perfect for smaller projects, and it has held up so far with medium to low pressure while spinning.

2x wheel not centered, bearings bad
I bought this product, and quickly found out that the bearings on it are not centered, and the plate wobbles slightly which makes it absolutely useless for turning pottery. I used Amazon replacement and got a second one because the price is right, but the second one also had the same issue so I returned it for a full refund. These are literally products made for a specific purpose that are not good enough for that purpose and so there is no point in buying them even if they are affordable.

Excellent Tiny Wheel for the Price
This review is from my experience personally and as a pottery instructor. I have not been compensated in any way by the seller or company.I love this tiny wheel. First, if you are considering buying this wheel or saving a few dollars by buying a similar looking wheel, buy this one. I bought this one for myself and then tested an identical looking model for a class that I was teaching, and this one is far more powerful. There are (much) more expensive tiny wheels out there, but this will meet the needs of the majority of people looking for a tiny wheel. That said, please adjust your expectations for what a tiny wheel should be able to do. If you place a finger firmly on the wheel, you can stop the wheel. If you have experience throwing on a regular wheel, you will need to learn how to center without putting pressure on the wheel head.It is not perfect. It sounds like a tiny chainsaw. The splash pan is very small and will still allow some splashing. The tools included are normal sized tools. (Make a tiny pottery tool kit, Vevor!)Ultimately, I would buy this wheel again, and I recommend it to my students who are interested in tiny potting. You can’t have more fun at this price point.Happy potting!

Decent for what it is
I’m an art student and wanted to set up a pottery space for the summer while I’m not at classes. I needed something portable and I didn’t have a huge budget. This wheel is light and I can easily store it or move it. The wheel is okay for smaller pieces, but has a really hard time with 2 or more pounds. The wheel will shudder against the force when opening pieces, and this can sometimes throw the pieces off center. It’s worth it if you’re looking for something to practice on as a beginner, and only using small amounts of clay. But if you’re going to be using it more than for practice, I would definitely put more money in to get a shimpo.

Perfect size
We bought this as a gift and it is loved. A great size for a great price. Highly recommend this product and seller. Amazon has the best selection.

Great little wheel!
This is a super fun little pottery wheel. My son bought one for his wife (young 20s) so I also bought one for my 12 year old son and they both have had a great time using these and made some super cute little pots, mugs, vases, etc. It has 2 different turntable sizes, the white part under the turntable has good sides on it that catch all the drips so it's fairly easy to clean up the mess from the clay. I like that it also has a variety of speeds, especially as my son was learning how to use it. It also comes with a good variety of tools, including a wire to cut the pots off the wheel. My DIL has been using a lighter (with the long barrel) and "firing" the pots while they spin on the wheel which seems to work fairly well, then she can paint them. Definitely advise adult supervision with that part! But, this seems to be a great little wheel and priced well.

Not worth the money
It is extremely underpowered, attempting to center even a tiny 150g lump of clay is a pain, the wheel slows way down as soon as you touch the clay and whines like it's about to fail. The claimed "high" speed of 320 rpm is a complete fabrication, it spins much slower than that, a lot slower than a normal wheel which usually spins at 200 rpm or so, and this actually makes it much harder to use because small mistakes get amplified, not reduced. The more slowly you go, the less torque it has, it can be stopped with the lightest touch when spinning slowly. The extras are useless trash, they should have used the money for a better motor and power supply

Worked good the first time
Then gradually started wobbling to the point it’s unusable by the third time. Company is being goofy about returning it.

Good value for the money
The turn table is incredibly small - but we are using them only for demonstrating so it is OK. And for clay amount the machine is powerful enough. But the ON/OFF reverse switch is too hard - the machine is always moving up and down during switching...
