Great stuff! Not breaking

I’ve tried others and always come back to Mirage. Strong as advertised and flouro doesn’t spoil line shy fish nearly as much as the others.

Haven't had a chance to use it fishing yet but the knots tie very well.

Wanted to try the fluorocarbon for the invisibility factor but the line did not perform very well, not sure if it was older line but seemed to break prematurely. Also didn’t hold knots very well. Used the nylon tippet after becoming frustrated, used same knots and it performed much better.

Orvis products are typically very good quality...however, I had a mechanical problem with the 3X fluoro tippet spool. It would not snap onto adjacent Orvis spools and spin freely. The replacement had the identical problem so I requested credit and went to my local fly shop.

I have tried many tippet materials and I find Orvis Mirage the best. Never ever had a bonefish turn away like I have seen with other tippet material if you line a fish. Good abrasion and knot strength. Can't believe the negative reviews over spool design. Who cares as long as the material works. I didn't buy it for the spool construction! I also use and recommend the Mirage leaders. I carry one per day on every trip I make.
