I only bought this for traveling convenience. The portion size within one sealed container is near the size of serving that my 25 pound dog gets twice per day. When at home, however, I prepare his food from whole chicken and ground beef, vegetables and a bit of rice. That just is not convenient when road-tripping.When I put this down for him this morning he sniffed it. Then he looked at me as if to say “WTH? Where is my gourmet home cooking?”He licked it a couple of times and looked at me again with pleading eyes. I walked away for a couple of minutes to check on the cats that were feeding in another room. When I came back, he had the mush almost gone.This will work to supplement dry food when on the road but I would never make a regular diet of it for my dog. When it says that It is real beef in the ingredients on the label, that means the parts of a bovine that typically would not be served to humans or turned even into bologna. It is probably, gullets, liver, lungs, kidneys, udders and such.UPDATE: Yesterday at feeding time I realized that all of my dog's home-prepared food was frozen except for one serving portion. In order to stretch that portion trough two meals for the day I fed him half home-prepared food and half Bella. He wolfed down the home-prepared food and left the Bella untouched in his dish.On the bright side, one of the cats found the Bella quite tasty after the dog left it the dish. I left the rating at three stars but I'll never buy this brand again.

My dogs love Bella. They know exactly what time they get fed and bark at me when I don't move fast enough. They are mini dachshunds which probably explains the barking. I have noticed a difference in their coats, very shiny. I get compliments on how healthy they look from their vet to strangers. Also their breath is much better. Their vet suggested switching from dry to wet food. I chose Bella as I tried different wet foods to see what they liked best. Bella was hands down their favorite. I get the box from Amazon - filet mignon and porterhouse steak and then purchase the other flavors as add-ons. What a bargain, even better than the big, low price store. My dogs look good and love the flavors. When I feed them, the Bella dog food looks and smells good to me also. Bella has made a big change in their health.

My dog got gastroenteritis after eating... he never had a problem in 5 years (5 pound Pomeranian).PLEASE CHECK OUT food I usually give him. FRESH PET CHICKEN ROLL, ETC. It needs to be refrigerated and not as convenient. The Little Ceasars was adequate.. no by products, but wheat gluten. NEVER GIVE CORN. Food should really by wholesome, there is grain free, limited ingredient dog food (Whole Paws, Organix, Fresh Pet. There are several that are good. Just a little warning: READ INGREDIENTS... watch for by-products, corn, soy, gluten protein, etc. When you see "Water sufficient for processing" that really means that water is main ingredient and the nutrition and calories are diluted.

I have a medium and a large size dog but they absolutely love Bella wet food as a treat or topper on their dry food. The food has a rich, thick texture that is not messy. They really like the taste too apparently. They gobble it up every time without hestitation. Good quality food.

Vet said my diabetic Rat Terrier-Jack Russel mix dog was underweight by quite a bit. And he appeared to be dehydrated. You have to figure out how to stimulate your dog's appetite and often find ways to get them to drink water. This stuff seems to dissolve just the right amount in hot water to make a flavorful soup for the dog. Cut into squares. Poor in hot water. Stir for a few minutes. Check temperature with your finger. Sometimes it's enough for a small meal. He will eat more.I also recommend feeding your dog Petfresh chicken-carrots-peas if available at your refrigerated pet food section at major supermarkets, Walmart or Pet stores. Cut a round slice off, then cut into slivers. Dogs prefer it that way. It helped immensely deal with my dogs vision, coat and overall health. The leaky eye junk went completely away. His diabetes insulin requirement was cut in half. Stabilized his bad eye sight.

As an animal rescuer, I find it's very difficult to find dog food for the sophisticated palates of my small dogs, currently, a Chihuahua and Pomeranian mix. My experience with them, and others that I've had is they would rather starve and hold out for something better. Bella food is one that most of the time, will satisfy their fussy palates. Of course we can't blame them, after all, people food is much better tasting then any dog food. In the past, I would cater to their sophisticated palates by cooking them healthy homemade dog food but as I've gotten older, my health doesn't always give me the freedom to indulge them as much, so I'm grateful that Bella has some flavors that please them and this is one of them. I recommend giving it a try. In the realm of cost vs similar brands, this brand is also the most reasonable. I find that small dogs need more dental visits to the vet because they don't prefer kibble food because it's not as tasty to them and it hurts their teeth so eventually the teeth don't stay as healthy and need to be removed, so this soft food is a better choice for them. Definitely give it a try.

I have a dog that will eat anything, and I wanted to start him on a cheaper dog food, so I started trying this. I slowly started mixing different flavors of this in with his usual Little Cesar's Dog food, and he hates it. I couldn't believe it. This dog will eat his own, well, you know what. He doesn't like this food. I tried different kinds, too, to save money. Don't bother. I'm sticking with little Cesar's.
