Ergo Desk - 401W - Designer Series Portable Reading and Lap Writing Desk - Walnut - Large

I've been using a jury-rigged tilted computer stand and stripped down lap desk at 20˚ to test the tilt as I shift (happily) from doing my thinking and planning and writing on computer to doing it on paper (which flows much better for me). This desk arrived today and ... wow.25" allows room for my 15" MacBook Pro on one side and a 5x8 notebook on the other. I work at a kneeling desk and easily slide back and forth between them, referencing from one the other other. Then I can have a book or another notebook open on the top stand for further reference. The top stand also holds the computer if I want to reference it above what I'm writing rather than bouncing back and forth.The desk is a solid platform, and based on my iPhone metrics, tilts from 15˚ to 21˚. I am excited to experiment with what angle I prefer. Construction is solid and lives up to expectation of their description of "heirloom quality." The walnut stain is deep and rich, and the finish smooth. The design and beveling are superb, with the pen groove designed just right. It is a wonderful example of quality craftsmanship and the power of simple design that is so well thought out in every detail it becomes invisible in using it.What would I change? Nothing. I am delighted and anticipate a lifetime of loving use.

This adjustable angle writing platform is amazing. It really helped with relieving hand cramps, and even seemed to improve the quality of my hand writing. The large is too big for using in your lap, but on top of a table or desk, it has the space to really be a good workstation. I can have two books open, my phone, and my writing pad with some room left over.The build quality is amazing, the wood is solid, the color is nice, and all of the hardware just drips with durability. I think I will still have this in 50 years. I am very happy with it, and I will be ordering a medium to use as a lap desk!

Exquisite! Unfortunately it came with 2 minor scuffs; but that doesn't take away from the full picture.

I bougth this lap desk but just couldn't use it for more than a half hour each time. It's just too heavy.
