This is a super product! It is heavy duty and super easy to install. It goes very well with my barn door aesthetic. I have no doubt it will keep the gate closed! I wish I needed more of them! This is a win!

I have bought these twice now, for different applications. Most recently, I used one to hold an interior closet door semi-shut. I'm in a very rural area, and the house is an old homestead farmhouse from the early 20th century. The ground shifts dramatically under the back porch/mudroom that was added on in the 1930s with a makeshift foundation. The floor is very uneven, causing the DIY beadboard door to no longer fit square into the doorway. There is still a gap, but this hook is strong enough to hold it partially closed until or if I can shore up the floor or re-do the door. The rustic style is a good match for my "farmhouse" look.I also used some of these in an old camper trailer I am restoring to hold cabinet doors securely closed. They fit the vintage vibe and were easy to screw in. Highly recommend!

Honestly very very good, screws are a bit cheap and very small however they accept many many different ones so that’s a huge plus, extremely durable, doesn’t interfere with door closing but adds that extra bit of security for whatever reason (works amazing for keeping kids or pets inside) and price was fantastic.

Work well but don't hold the door closed tight.
