Blade does not have even 'reveal'
Much like another user noted, the blade reveal is incredibly uneven. So uneven that I'm not even going to bother shaving with it. Bought it 2 years ago and stored it since I have many DE's. Today I tried using it and discovered it and my heart sank, due to the return window having long passed me by. Completely disappointed, doesn't even deserve one star since it's completely unusable.Edit: After initially rating it a 1 star product due to the aforementioned problems, I contacted Fendrihan directly. It had been 2 years and they only asked for my order number (to verify I had purchased it) and a picture of the problem (to verify there was indeed a problem). They sent me a replacement head free of charge. Impeccable customer service!

Major life upgrade.
Bought Jan 2019 to replace a chrome plated brass one that had stripped its threads in a few months. Reviewing in Sept 2021. Still good as the day I got it. Even the cheapest blades are an upgrade from multi-blade disposables. Use a new edge every time for 5-10 cents a shave.

Nice razor.
Reading the poor review got me nervous and wanting to return it but no issues at all with mine. Real nice, close shave and a nice razor. I also bought one for a friend and he loves his.

A Rare Find, Affordable Stainless Steel
I bought my stainless steel razor from the Fendrihan website because of a sale Amazon couldn't match. I usually use Amazon for such purposes, and use "Smile" so money goes to LOVE146, a well organized anti-human-trafficking charity. This is the only reasonably priced stainless steel safety razor, in fact, maybe the only steel one.The reason the blade can be uneven at the edge where it is presented for use (exposed) is because the tabs that the slot on the blade fits over when mounted in the razor head are more narrow than the slot itself. These are the stabilizers that Fendrihan's design uses instead of two round posts like many other similar razors. Some other brands have some play or wiggle-room with the fit of the blades as well. My solution is twofold: (1) One can carefully center the blade without getting cut (move with a wooden pencil's eraser end if you are concerned), giving two even edges_ one on each side; (2) The shaver can let the blade slide against the two tabs on one side and secure the head by tightening as normal, causing one side of the head to project more blade for a fairly aggressive shave and the other to be more mild with less blade showing. Remember to be more careful on the more aggressive side.Concerning this issue, the way I see it, I have a reasonably priced razor with an adjustable cutting edge, whether intended to be so or not by the designer and manufacturer. I just have to be very careful adjusting it. The difference between the tab thickness and blade slot is small and may not be an issue for you. As I mentioned, I found similar 'play' in blade placement on other brands.I grew up with these razors and still have my two Gillettes and my Dad's Gillette. I'm buying now only because I want longer handles. Little Gillettes are restrictive, but they are great for small areas like the upper lip right under ones nose. Remember to shave as the manufacturers say. These are not slap-happy rush out the door razors. My reason for stainless steel (or just steel) is the screw. It is the weakest point of a safety razor because it is small, with intricate threads, and holds everything together. The other non steel brands are great and can last several lifetimes, but the alloy screws can break off in a dropping accident and corrode if left wet. Corrosion and crossthreading can wear and/or destroy the threads. Some manufacturers instruct to lubricate moving parts (like on a buttterfly razor). I consider a screw combination (male and female threads) to be moving parts. I won't recommend lubricants, but their are water repellents oils that should be safe. Ask around. I use mineral oil, but don't take my word on it. Rules: Keep razors clean and dry between use; Lubricate (with a people friendly lubricant) moving parts and unreachable crevices to repel water and prevent corrosion; Screw things together carefully without crossthreading; Don't drop razors; Work over a counter when shaving to reduce the risk of an accidentally dropped razor taking the long voyage to the tile floor. On advice from the Merkur folks, I found replacement parts for Merkur razors at Col. Conk's website. I wish Amazon would consider that.

I have had it for 3+ years and it is great. Solid build good weight
Got this one for my son. I have had it for 3+ years and it is great. Solid build good weight, But the Solid Stainless is the reason I got it. The chrome plated kind will flak off after time so this is a great upgrade.

Can’t beat stainless steel
This is my first DE razor. Decided to skip the chrome platted stuff and go straight to stainless steel construction. I have a nickel allergy and I was concerned that the cheaper razors would irritate my skin after prolonged use and this fendrihan razor wasn’t that much more expensive compared to a merkur. With that said, this razor is built like a tank. It feels solid and substantial and has a nice weight to it. I haven’t had any issue as other reviewers with blade alignment. Everything seems to be aligned just so and the fit and finish seems perfect. Of course I don’t have a $150 SS razor to compare it to but if fendrihan cut some corners to achieve such a great price point, they cut the right ones. There is one caveat however that needs mentionning. Again, I don’t have other safety razors to compare it to, but this razor feels very agressive. I don’t consider it a knock against it. It just means you need to be careful and go slow. But otherwise it is incredbly efficient and you’ll get BBS shaves in no time. Overall, I’m totally satisfied and I’m sure this razor will provide years of awsome shaves.

Handle thread and blade problem.
Screwing in handle stops halfway through most times, have to retry using different handle rotation/position. Also razor blade projects out more on one side than the other. But I love the weight and feel of the handle and razor. Wish it would have worked out so I could replace my merkur long handle.
