Park Hyatt Tokyo: Airflow

I don't experience this collection as "relaxing," but it does make a relatively mellow though funky party mix. I especially like the track by Toshiyuki Honda, who is apparently a favorite of the anime/comic book crowd.Other favorites are "(Tapping) The Source--Moonage Day Dreamix (Swingset Remix)," dreamy chill by Cocosuma and Jen H. Ka; "Get Misunderstood," an interesting assemblage by Troublemakers; and "La rue," a funky track by Cortex. A like-minded CD, " Suite Royale: St. Moritz Vibes, Vol. 2 ," is certainly worth checking out.

I really enjoy listening to this CD on the way home from work or the gym. Since I live in a huge, noisy city, I like to block out the chatter and other various noises of people when on the bus or subway, and this compilation really helps (particularly with noise canceling headphones). I love the first several songs in particular (up to "After the Rain") as they really help me relax and wind down. I suppose I would've given this CD five stars if I enjoyed the WHOLE thing all the way to the end. Regarless, I'm now looking at the other Hyatt compilations.

Djamel Hammadi did a great job of picking some of the best tracks laid down by these artists. I prefer the rotated artwork.

パークハイアットの部屋ってこんな音楽が似合うなと言う感じ。泊まったのがこのＣＤの発売前だから部屋で聞いたことはないけど、音楽に詳しくない私もすんなりほれちゃいました。

スノビッシュな音作りであるが、”やはり外国人が見る”日本は？といった印象。色んなアジアが混在・・・個人的には香港なカンジ、ウォン　カーワァイの映画の映像がよく似合うかなと、勝手に思ってます。出来れば次回は、六本木ヒルズのグランドハイアットバージョンで、”日本らしさ”をぜひ表現してもらいたい。
