heats things up great, looks very nice and easy to store, definitely worth the money.

As I look at the side of the box, a number of questions spring to mind: What in the name of all things good is TOAST SALAD? WHY IS THE BREAD PUDDING DRY???Considering that the makers of this device have literally never seen a piece of toast in their lives, I think they managed to make a decent one.It's not over-designed and ugly like many of the fading American brands. It also isn't overpriced like a lot of the American brands.The dial "clicks" for each setting which feels good. I didn't end up needing setting 2.9 or 4.7.The slots are big enough for most bagels and thick slices, though the bagel mode probably isn't necessary--I still just toast both sides.QA seems to have been on the job for my device as all the little lines glow orange when I turn it on. I would have just exchanged it for another one if a bunch of them were DOA.I usually avoid bootleg products like this but am glad I gave this one a go.

It's probably about as good as it could be considering your comparing China made against American made back in the day. Built in obsolescence.

Toasts FAST and toasts pretty evenly. This product is replacing a 4-slice toaster--have had many of them and they ALL toast one side faster than the other. 2-slice toasters seem to be better? This was a good value on sale and looks very nice. It seems to be some off-brand, and I knew that purchasing it, so my logic was to spend a few bucks extra and bought the 3 year protection plan!

Description lists original price as "$139.99" making you think this toaster is a step above the multitude of other toasters from China that are exactly the same but with a different shell. Don't get me wrong - I like products made in China and quality is not the issue. Sometimes you get what you pay for, but normally I am surprised by how good Chinese-made things are for the money. But not this time. I think $39.99 is too high for this one. There isn't much stainless steel on it - it's light and flimsy, and most of it is covered with a bad silver paint job. I'm returning and bought the GE instead that is all stainless and chrome clad, and weighs much more. To me the weight is important as we all know how annoying it is to push the lever down and have the whole toaster pop a wheely, so I went for the heaviest I could find in this price range. If this one is no good, then I'll splurge for the Breville Die Cast.

Was sucked in by the 850W and the well written description. Its an OK toaster but not worth the premium I spent. Stainless steel outside (thin cover is easily dented)-- came with a small dent near the top but didn't bother returning.This toaster doesn't seem more powerful than any other toaster I've owned, the controls are simple, but you set the dial and never touch it again anywaySummary -- Looks nice (minus the dent), easy controls but again-- this toaster is nothing special and not worth the premium in cost.

This is a great toaster. Uneven toasting has haunted me since I was a very young boy. PB&J on toast was never quite right with one side of the toast nearly burned while the other side was barely browned. Scraping the over toasted side with a knife to remove the crumbs that were too dark had become a way of life for me. The sandwich was never perfect. Now, after 71 years of life, I have found a life changing toaster. My reliance on antidepressants has diminished and I now revel in a perfect PB&J on toast. Thank you thank you thank you.

Have used this for a year..absolutely no problems.
