Good value - beautiful healthy plant
I purchased this plant one year ago. It arrived in a narrow tall box in perfect condition. It was not nearly as full or with as many leaves as the pic on Amazon showed but it was healthy and intact. I’ve included a pic of it now, 1 year later. I kept it in a window with afternoon sun, watered once a week and it started growing additional leaves. The growth was phenomenal . I’ve moved it where it gets less light because it’s HUGE and I wanted to slow down some of the growth. I also need to repot it this summer. Highly recommend!

Don’t buy plants off of Amazon
My brother ordered this monstera as a gift for our grandmother for Christmas and I thought he was nuts for buying a plant off of Amazon. I own over 70 different plants and have an entire greenhouse room in my home. I buy plants on the internet pretty frequently, but didn’t even know Amazon sold plants until he bought this. His arrived and it was beautiful and healthy and larger than expected. I immediately got on Amazon and ordered my own. My monstera arrived with black leaves. I wasn’t sure if this was something that could happen with shipping in somewhat cold temperatures because the heat pack had been long over with when it arrived or if it was root rot. I immediately wrote Costa Farms because I wasn’t even sure if I could save it, and if I could I would have to chop it down to a tiny plant and that’s not what I purchased. I waited for a few days to see if costa farms replied. They did not, so since my plant had had a few days to settle in in its new environment I decided to pull it out and take a look at the roots. It did have some root rot, nothing terrible, but I did have to get rid of most of its new growth leaving most of the older and thicker roots. I potted down a size due to the size of the root ball and unfortunately had to chop all of the large fenestrated leaves. It will be fine but it’s a tiny baby plant now and I ordered a larger monstera plant. It’s been almost two weeks and I never received a reply from Costa Farms which is upsetting. Everytime I go to the store I check to see what the Costa Farms display has and I always bring home a new plant. I won’t be doing that anymore. I would suggest buying from another retailer online. Just do your research before purchasing.

Nice…
The plant came packed pretty good with 2 bamboo sticks to sturdy it. The soil was still decently moist when it arrived . I plan to repot it with an additional stalk that survived from an ailing Monsteria that I currently have. Considering how expensive that these particular plants are the promo price that I purchased it for was way worth it . The leaves were large with no damage to them other than there was a new leaf that had some damage. It’s understandable since the new leaves are pretty fragile so I can look past that . It also had an additional new leaf that was just beginning to unfurl that was still in perfect condition, so that’s a plus . I’m pleased with the plant and would purchase from them again.

Beautiful and healthy, but arrived overwatered causing root rot
PROS: The plant arrived ahead of schedule and was very well packaged so it didn’t budge and included a heat pack since the weather is cold here. The leaves are large and beautiful, and once you arrange them a bit and hold them in place with some sticks (I used the bamboo poles that they shipped with) and some plant ties it has a beautiful shape and looks lovely. I also wiped down the leaves with a damp paper towel to removed the dirt debris and dried water drop marks from shipping. And, I’ve only had it a week and it’s already growing a new leaf!CONS: Although packaged quite well, I did end up removing one of the largest leaves, that was torn in shipping. Not a big deal, and to be expected shipping from many states away. The main problem I am not too happy about is the root rot. My plant was shipped swimming in water, causing root rot, which you can see in my photo with the yellow spots with black center. So unfortunately I had to chop off that leaf as well to keep the fungus from spreading. I’m very relieved I caught it so early, otherwise I might have lost the whole plant. I repotted it immediately into fresh soil, but the poor plant was weeping out all of the excess water through its leaves for about a week.OVERALL: This plant exceeded expectations for a mail order plant! Once you do a little prep work, it is stunning. Honestly, even though there were a couple hiccups, I would definitely order again.Once it arrives, immediately take it out of its container, remove as much of the soaking wet dirt as possible, and replant it in fresh DAMP soil. Do not water until the first two inches of soil dry out. Once you do that, the plant will thrive if it’s in the right light and temperature.

Disappointed
I have previously ordered from this business and received some beautiful full of leaves plants. So I ordered a couple more recently. But the two that I received were very ok and very small with very few leaves.

So beautiful but
It was such a beautiful plant! The packaging was good. There were some damaged leaves and some black spots on some other leaves but I just hope it’s from transportation cross the country and nothing bad with the plant. I’ll see how it does. Upd: it was definitely overwatered and had some root rot. I had to cut off a bunch of leaves and I’ll see if it makes it but my hopes aren’t high :)
