I placed one normal sized book and the product in a sealed plastic as instructed. I think I need to look for a better product.

Didn't work as advertised. So far, none of the books I've tried it with have been improved, smell-wise.

This product is useless. I put the smelleze bag in a 5 gallon container and sealed the container with a book smelling of smoke and one smelling like mold in the container, then sealed it closed. A week later, there was no difference in odor, in two weeks there was no difference in odor. This product simply does not remove odors as advertised. I would not recommend buying it. I finally resorted to set a pan of Fresh Step kitty litter in the 5 gallon bin and sealed it up. The books were odor free in three days. Don’t waste your time and money on this product. Smelleze simply does not work to eliminate odors from books.

I'm giving the product one star simply because it arrived.I followed the instructions, I even bought a special air-tight container to use to deodorized the books (one was a graphic novel, the other a plain old 400-page mass market paperback) that smelled a bit musty. In went the Smelleze®, in went the books (pages fanned for maximum exposure), on went the cover and I let it sit - for a month. I opened the lid: must, teary eyes and sneezes. Another month goes by and... you guessed it. The books, Smelleze® and bin are in the trash.Normally if a product doesn't work I return it. How do you return a product that says can take up to 2 months to work, when there's only a 30-day return policy?So... yeah... I do not recommend this product.What to do for smelly books? Exactly as I mentioned above (air-tight bin, fanned pages, sit for a month), but honestly - use kitty litter or baking soda. ****Don't sprinkle or pour it on the book! Place the book on top of it...
