Celestron Polar Axis Finderscope for CGX & CGX-L

I just wish it wasn't a required piece of equipment; should've come standard with the purchase of the (expensive) Celestron CGX-L mount.

Product shipped quickly and is quite robust. The optics are good, and easy to align with the CGX's RA axis. It fits snug into the mount. I use this to get a good rough alignment, in preperation for an automated polar align sequence, and it does the job. HOWEVER... You must remove this after polar alignment, because the finder scope is designed in a way that unavoidably collides with the mount when the there's rotation in the Dec. Super dumb design flaw, unless there's some explanation I'm not getting.

This accessory makes it easy to polar align the mount while the telescope is mounted. Through-the-mount scopes can be difficult to use with a telescope mounted.
