The disc loses its hardness quickly and the diamond layer disappears

Bought it to sharpen a 6 piece carbide set. Made a mandrel out of a 4 inch by 1/2 bolt. Cut the head off to fit my mini lathe. It is. 50 or half inch bore on the disk. Haven't tried it yet. Just got it today 10 July 18 for now appears to be good quality. Well mounted it on my mini lathe using 400 rpm. Very slow. Did the job in a few minutes. Just eye balled the Hf tools and went in slow. It is very course but not important in my case. Also eye balled 6 or 8 drill bits. Put very slight pressure on either carbod3 or drill bits. Worked great

Nice diamond wheel, perfect for bench grinder. I use mine exclusively for grinding tungsten for TIG welding. It is super thin, you will want a backing plate when using it on a grinder, also it's not double sided. Most diamond wheels like this are double sided, thats the only reason for the 4 stars.It's a good product with a good price and I'd buy it again.

Wanted to try sharpening my own saw blades, watched utube videos, ordered a 600 and 800 grit disc. Was not sure which would work best. Made a jig to use with table saw. Wanted the smoothest finish, with the least time and effort, so started with the 800 , does an excellent job. Have not tried the 600.

As stated in previous reviews for this product, we use this on our flat wet lap/disk glass grinder as it is a far superior quality than those sold by the grinder company. We just amend the hole to fit our grinder shaft & we are set to go with multiple grits.

One pair of scissors, and one knife.... and this is toast. I'm not going to send it back because I should have known better. Well actually I did know better but I bought this anyway just to see.... and I quickly saw. DON'T BUY THIS JUNK. Buy a high quality mono-crystalline nickel plated disk. It will cost you, but the only way to go diamond that will last. Otherwise just use inexpensive aluminum oxide or silicon carbide disk. Don't WASTE YOUR MONEY on these disk... Also I would not buy anything from this company. Hope I saved you some money. Now let's see if Amazingamazon is going to post this in reviews. Of the hundreds of purchases I've made.... this is my second negative.

This wheel leaves a pretty smooth finish and takes out the smaller scratches reasonably quickly.It fits my 3/4" arbor perfectly, no wobbling or shaking.Not quite a finishing wheel, and not fast enough for rough shaping but a necessary step to get the stone ready for final grinding with my 3000 grit.Skipping this would mean grinding with 3000 for hours and hours :(

This wheel doesn't leave the glassy smooth finish I thought it would, but maybe I'm still seeing the scratches from the 500 grit.I might have to just polish the stone more.
