TL;DR Don't waste your money on this version and wait until there is a new revision with fixes implemented before purchase.I'll start with the pros first: None, and I don't feel I am being overly critical here, we bought it expecting it to be a good purchase for our cats, we were so wrong.Now for the cons of which there are many so I apologize for the length of this but I feel it will be needed for others to avoid this due to the severity, extent and how many different problems this device has:1- The device won't work (no water pumping) if it loses connection to the network. It defaults to "off" so in case of a power outage you will have to turn it on yourself before the animal(s) will get any water again. It defaults to 'Intermittent stream' as well, which only allows the device to operate for about 10 minutes then it turns off never to turn on again (until you turn it on or off itself or switch the stream type), I watched it for an hour to make sure I wasn't losing my mind.2- The two power pins that are to connect the pump head to the base are very poorly made. They will pop out (spring and the pin come out of the socket under their own power while removing pump head to clean or fill) [Picture of the result of this occurring attached]. They are also very poorly protected against water contact/intrusion and will build corrosion incredibly fast. A heavy green coating of it will form on those two pins unless you are surgical in keeping them dry (which will be difficult at best because the design of the device lends itself to eventually getting those pins wet under normal operation).3- When servicing the unit (filling or cleaning), the device is INCREDIBLY finnicky about alignment of the pump head on the base. This is due to the poor choice for a connection. If you do not place the pump head down just right I suspect that one or both of those pins will not make a connection preventing power from reaching the pump. This is not a good design when it can fail this simply for something that will be serviced regularly.4- There is a trick to getting the pump head and the filter tray out that they don't tell you in the manual and unless you know that trick it will fight you to the end when trying to service the unit. I get not wanting the pump head to be jostled causing it to lose power and exhibit problems (problems like what we have experienced since just about day one? Just saying) but there are so many better ways to deal with this that I find the solution to be over engineered for the sake of over engineering with no tangible benefit to the end user.5- Customer service is.... "difficult" at best to get ahold of via any method I have tried (email/phone/chat) without luck. Kinda regret going with Geeni for the home cameras and such that we bought into as I see any other problem becoming a 'thing' like this has been.If the manufacture bothers to read these I am open to discussion regarding a solution for this as I am at my wits end with this device. The (yes I know, I know) cheap fountain that we got at the start of the pandemic from a no-name seller here has been nothing but reliable with absolutely no issues, meanwhile the nicer unit from Geeni is a complete mess. We are going to look into other fountains for our pets that isn't one of these because we no longer trust the device and we believe it will only be a matter of time before the device will put our cats into harms way with the constant issues (and the cats have access to other sources but for us it's the principle of the matter.I don't often regret a purchase that I have made because I tend to look at it as partly my fault for not doing research or something of the like, but this is one I greatly regret and strongly advise other pet owners from purchasing as well.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
The customer service for Geeni is AWFUL. I bought this pet fountain in December 2022 and at first it worked fine. The app wouldn’t let me set up notifications for when the water level was low but the fountain still ran so I got over it. In January I noticed the fountain would change from continuous to intermediate water flow every couple hours even if I kept it on continuous setting in the app. Now, in March, the fountain won’t even flow water at all. The power is on the UV light works with the app but the flow of water doesn’t turn on! I have tried forgetting the device in the app and restarting it, I have tried completely deleting the app and reinstalling it, and I have tried fully cleaning and taking apart the foundation to ensure everything is clean for the water to flow properly. Absolutely nothing worked. I have tried live chatting with Geeni support on the app btu it always says no representatives are available. I have tired emailing and got no response. And I have tired calling the Toll Free Support number and was told there was a 15 minute hold time just for the line to disconnect on me. I cannot believe how bad the customer service for this company is! I wish this product lasted longer than a few months considering how much it costs.

Breaks after 3 months
After having it for 3 months the connectors broke. It never liked to stay on constant and would randomly turn off and not connect to app.When refilling we would carefully remove lid and water and yet it ALWAYS was a struggle to get turned back on and connected for some reason. Wed also clean the connectors each clean with a dry ear cleaner. Yet it just doesnt want to work

A disappointing waste of time and money.
If allowed, I would have given this product negative stars for the trouble it has given and continues to give me. After using Genie/Merkury smart light bulbs to decent effect, I decided to buy their smart pet water fountain. Extremely disappointing. It goes offline constantly causing my to delete the fountain from the app and reloading it just to get one use out of it before it, again, goes off-line. I went to their website for support. After much emailing, they only offered circular questioning while never listening to the information that I was supplying. Bad tech and bad customer support all equals products to stay far away from. Save your time and money and search out a decent product from a quality company. Very disappointing indeed.

Love it!
I absolutely love this. It was easy to setup and connect. I love that you can schedule it to start and stop at certain times. The app is easy to navigate. It is quiet and I love there is a UV light to disinfect the water. It is not bright that it is blinding but the perfect amount of light.

Continuously switches to Intermittent
So far so good, my cats love it. Great addition to all my Geeni devices. Love the modern design, the blue light is the UV clean cycle.Only minor setback is the UV cleaning has to be initiated manually. You can change how long it cleans, but you can only schedule the power state.1/2/23- Continuously switches to Intermittent mode, not sure why this is even an option.

My dog is in love!!!
My dog loves this! Fresh water all the time! Only drawback is my dog drinks so much I have to fill it every other day! Please make one with a larger reservoir🙂!2/24/23 Update: I’ve been seeing some reviews where people report the machine just quits working. This happened to me but I found the solution. The connection points that stick up from the bowl and the screws they connect with in the top need some Dielectric grease. Just a dab on both pins (make sure the pins and screw heads are good and dry!) and ensure you push down to hear the cover snap into place! Amazon sells this grease or any hardware store. Hope this helps someone from discarding the product!

Failed! Don't buy!!!
This worked great for a few weeks and then it stopped working. The pump stopped working the trying to put the cover on just right for the connections to work is trash .

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS!!! IT HAS CONTINUALLY GONE OFF LINE TO THE POINT MOW IT WONT EVEN TURN ON ANYMORE! I HAVE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED THE AP AND EVERYTHING ELSE POSSIBLE. YOU WILL BE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY
