BasisSensitive Skin Bar 4 oz (Pack of 8)

My mother, who is 80 years old, has been using Basis for most of her adult life. She loves that it gets her clean without making her feel dry and itchy. She doesn't get dry patches on her skin from this soap and it's pretty much the only soap that she has found that works for her sensitive skin.

The product is great. It was a bit expensive. I think that you can't even get the 8 pack anymore

This way, less of the bar is being washed away as you use what you need. Also, less debris and bacteria gather on the bar when not in use. I have mild hormonal acne and combination skin. My skin gets inflamed very easily in response to fragrances and harsh chemicals in skin products.My spouse has started using this soap as well. His skin type, I’d say, is normal.We also use this soap on our kids (not on their faces because they are too young to know to close their eyes tightly). They have mild eczema and noticeable Keratosis Pilaris on their arms and faces.This is the only soap we’ve found that doesn’t irritate any of our skin.

This mild, unscented soap is the only type of soap I've been using for about the last 20 years. Even though it's for sensitive skin it works just like any other soap getting you feeling nice and clean without any anti-microbial properties, fake color and overpowering scent. I'm highly allergic to some of the antimicrobial soap such as dial which brings on an immediate and severe headache after just washing my hands. I travel with this soap to make sure I can keep myself clean without suffering ill effects from the soap generally supplied in hotels. As use for 20 years attests, I try not to use anything else on my body (I do use Avalon Organic on my hands, and something else for my face). There was a time when it was difficult to find in stores, and I was in a panic thinking it wasn't being manufactured anymore. Thank goodness for the internet, and Amazon which generally has the lowest prices-I buy multiple bars (16 or so) at a time which last me a couple of years.

We have allergies to many soaps and this Basis soap has been a blessing for us., esp during winter months it moisturizes well. The biggest drawback is that it is difficult to find in stores locally and when I do it is expensive. I generally purchase 12 to 16 bars at a time to keep stocked.
