Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir 3.4 oz Eau de Parfum Spray

Versace's take on Oud is a bit more floral (neroli + saffron) and less anamalic and "dirty" as some more standard oud frags can be. And in this case it really works. Versace does an excellent job of making solid fragrances and selling them at price points that put the scents within the reach of enthusiasts who don't always have the budget for designer fragrances - or especially not 100mL bottles of them. The silage and projection on this are excellent and it has decent longevity. And it has the distinction of being one of the only my frags of recent that had a stranger comment and compliment on it while I was out. The scent isn't easily found in the US market where I am and I've never seen it in a store here. And so its more of a regional frag for Versace which is a bit of a shame because I would much rather have this on my shelves than Dylan Blue or even Eros. It's mature and engaging and I haven't really smelled anything that smells quite like it and so it kind of stands out against all the more popular frags I notice people wearing. I'm definitely going to be buying another bottle as a back up once I get through a bit more but I think any frag enthusiast would be happy to have this on their shelves especially at the price point you can find it at on Amazon and other resellers ($55-65usd). The only thing I would say is that it might not be for everyone and could be a bit polarizing depending on the company and so I wouldn't recommend this as a gift and only would blind buy if you have some familiarity with Oud scents in general. Because even though it's much more approachable than others on the market - it's still in the Oud house.

Reading some of the other reviews I do not think people understand there is a difference in the percentage of fragrance in cologne (3-5%), eau de toilette (5-15%), eau de parfum (15-20%), Parfums (15-30%), or Ouds and Musks (extracts, meaning 20-40% which is why they are stronger, last longer, and more expensive).Product Review:Great scent. When first applied the scent is strong (normal for Ouds), but 5-10 mins later it dissipates and becomes normal and lasts approx 4-5 hours, after which there is a slight scent where if someone hugged you they would be able to still smell it (very close-quarters situations). As for value-for-price comparison, I think the product is slightly overpriced approx $15 and should be at the $80 target. Again, I do think it's an amazing Oud scent, so I do not have buyer's remorse. 1 review star was subtracted for pricing, ONLY.Oud and Musk blended are very well known to be an amazing blend of scents but do not bathe in them (1-3 sprays are all you need). I purchased a Chocolate Musk Oil by Crown Perfumes (first time using a chocolate scent) to blend with Versace Oud and it smells freaking outstanding! Masculine, sophisticated, sexy, and delicious all in one.Hope this review helps.
