REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, 21.3ft USB C Port Hard Wire Kit for Dashcam,Converts 12V-24V to 5V/2.5A Low Voltage Protection

I bought this cable because while installing the cable that came with the dash cam I actually got a bit impatient trying to thread it through and broke it. This cable went in easily and calmly but is considerably longer and I had to stuff a lot into the car frame, which went easily. Also, the cable has a red wire that is not needed so I put a wire nut on it and stuffed it away. Picture quality is fantastic and the cable goes to the fuse box under the dash and I don’t have to worry about anything.

I have bought 2 of these F7NP cameras, one for myself and one for a friend. They have performed flawlessly and were easy to install. My friend bought a new car, so I contacted the company for an item that I needed to transfer his camera to his new car. I emailed Red Tiger and got a response within literally a few hours and this is after hours that I am talking about. We did have a little trouble with the suction cup on the front camera, but that was remedied by purchasing a double-sided sticky pad that has taken care of the problem. It is nice to deal with a company that has such fine service after the sale.

Works great but I finally figured out that they somehow reversed the yellow and red wires. So instead of red being accessory and yellow being constant/battery. It's red is constant and yellow is accessory. So if your dashcam supports it and it's turned on, but doesn't enter parking mode, reverse your wires/the fuse splitter.Minus one star for quality control.

This was recommended with my dash cam purchase to install on my vehicle to allow recording when vehicle is parked. In the event someone backs into your car while you’re away from vehicle this is supposed to turn on cameras. I cannot get my cameras to work with this cable. I followed instructions disconnecting negative battery cable and located the correct corresponding fuse locations for ACC and BATT and connnected the ground to a grounding spot and the camera will not power on at all using this. Wasted two days trying to figure this out and I assume this cable or controller is defective. So far the dashcam only works with the plug in 12V cigarette adapter.Instructions are clear, obviously item is defective. I had to wait for warmer weather to attempt this and it’s been nothing but a headache. For these reasons I do not recommend this cable.
