I don’t understand some of the comments written here. We’ve been using timed candles and lights for year. I believe that we are used to all of the nuances when it comes to these types of things. It may be premature, but we’re on day 3, and they are as bright as they were on day one. Q1) We understand that many times you don’t know how long a product is on the shelf, and that affects your initial usage and/or battery life.2) We don’t find anything unusual or difficult with operating the timer function or replacing the battery.3) We are continuously changing around our decor. For the price, it suited our purposes just fine. They are absolutely easy to use, and we love the way they look.

I bought these to wrap flowers in a mason jar for decor. The lights are beautiful and functioned well. My complaint is the battery life. I get that these use a small button cell battery and they are not going to last long, but I expected more. This comes with a timer, but to me the timer is useless because it only lasted four days and was very noticeably dim after two days. I don't know why you would even need that feature if you arent going to get much use out of it before replacing the batteries anyways. To be fair, I could not find any fairy lights that had a better design for improved battery life, even when they went up to AA batteries.Overall, this is great for use once or twice, but if you want to use this for seasonal decor you are going to be replacing the battery twice a week or more.

The lights are beautiful, versatile, and exactly what I wanted with a timer so I wouldn’t have to fiddle with them every evening.I made the mistake of not noticing the battery life. I was unprepared for them to stop working so soon. The company sent me a replacement set, which I greatly appreciate and didn’t even request I won’t be using the timer feature anymore, though.

Updated: It is clearly stated in the description that they will run about 4 days using the 6-hour setting. My mistake for not reading thoroughly! In that case, they work exactly as described so I am increasing my rating!Original: After using 4 different strings from two different boxes, I have learned that these will only light for about a 24-hour period. I used them on the timer, to come on around 5:00 PM. After the 3rd for 4th evening, they all quit working. Great idea and they looked great what short time they worked. If you are looking to decorate for just one event, they would be worth it. If you want something that will last, you should look elsewhere.

Great little lights and very inexpensive but batteries didn't last long at all and maybe they were fixing to die when I receive them as they came pre-installed. but batteries only lasted for about a week and then poop. Probably shouldn't be writing this review just yet until I put replacement batteries in and see how long they last but will update later when I do that.

Initially, the lights worked great. I had them on for 4 hours for 3 days. On the 4th day, they would not turn on. I had to buy all new batteries to get them in working order. LED lights have a very small draw from batteries - should have lasted longer than that. So I am hoping with new, fresh batteries that I will get longer use out of them. The lights themselves are very versatile.

I was so excited to receive these lights. I had purchased a pair owls for my fall mantle and wanted something with a timer to light up the area. At first, I was very satisfied with the string of lights as they seemed to be the perfect length to stuff inside the owls and it gave them a pretty glow. They looked and worked great, coming on for 6 hours, turning off for 18 but my satisfaction was short lived as the batteries did not even last a week. I know I can put new batteries in them but I purchased these lights believing I would at least get a month out of the batteries. Having to put new batteries into them after less than a week is not cost effective. Very disappointing as I really did love these little lights.

Exactly as advertised. Use them to make hanging vines for a party.
