What an instrument!
The media could not be loaded. This is honestly so lovely! Comes in a beautiful little bag with the finger pieces and mallets. Great for adults and kids. Wouldnt say it’s safe to give to young kids as the little ball came off the end of the mallet easily. Isn’t broken as it went right back on, but just to make aware that this could happen. Really nice sound from it….Now to learn to play!

Nice sound, but quite small and more designed for children
I play a few instruments, all of them badly, and have had some percussion instruments in the past, but have never really managed to stick with them. This drum has a very pleasant tone and is small enough to carry around for practice. What is isn't though, is big enough to use in any kind of performance. The notes are in the key of C so there's no opportunity to try and play along with another musician unless they are also playing in C. The image in the listing shows numbers embossed onto the drum, but the supplied version comes with stickers, which don't look as good and will probably peel over time. Additional stickers are included in black and white. The song book demonstrates that this is aimed at children, tunes like "Twinkle, Twinkle" and "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" are clearly not included for the aspiring musician.I like the design and weight, the rubber base is sturdy and means it doesn't move around even on a very smooth desktop, finger picks and a decent carry bag make for a reasonable beginner's package. At £40 this is a fairly expensive introduction to percussion for children, and not large or loud enough for an adult. Though I do like the sound it produces.

Cute little instrument
This is a cute little instrument. You can actually play tunes on it (with the notes labelled being 1 = C up to 7 = B). It's a bit of a novelty and intonation is only okay; it sounds lovely though and isn't too loud - nice for a bit of relaxation or for kids to play with (not under 3's though with the strikers provided, as the ball on the end pulls off).Serious instruments of this type can be VERY expensive, so although far from perfect I think this one is pretty good value for money.
