Doesn't play when the lid is lifted
As a gift for a young girl on the cusp of her jewelry journey, this seemed perfect. And in many ways it is - shiny, and heavy and adult-enough to thrill a young woman, the only issue I have is with the music. I thought that it would play when the lid lifted - it doesn't. You wind it up from the base, which is a little inconvenient if the box has a lot of jewelry inside - and it immediately plays - and once it is wound down, it stops. No movement from the lid required.

Cheap looking
Okay as a funny little gift that'll hardly be used.The tune is incomplete and doesn't play just when lid is opened - it manages a few tinkles then expires before being wound again.Not much room inside - we've put a couple of hearing aids in the compartments. No room for anything else. Glad I didn't give it as a 'special' gift but just a stocking filler.
