SPT SD-9241SS: Energy Star 18" Portable Dishwasher - Stainless Steel

Love this dishwasher! Have been using it for 9 years! Love the versatility. I can fit large pots and pans in it with a few adjustments. Just wondering where I find a new hose?

The dishwasher arrived on a Friday and was opened on Saturday morning. The packaging was impeccable It had these wooden bars on three sides which held the other packaging together. Once it was unpacked and put in my kitchen we found that there were parts broken. The parts applied to the spinner on the top that hooked into the back of the dishwasher. So we were unable to use it or set it up any further that day. I did need to contact support through Amazon on that Saturday and The manufacturer was closed. This is where Amazon drop the ball they were to call me the following Monday morning at 11:00 so that we could contact the manufacturer together and make arrangements for the parts. I never got the call from Amazon so I initiated another call via Amazon to the manufacturer. The gentleman at the manufacturer was superb. Not only did they replace the part that hooks into the top tray they replace the entire piece the spinner and what attached to the spinner as well just in case. That did take 4 days to arrive which was the following Friday and it was installed on Saturday. It wasn't until the following Monday that I had enough dishes to run it. Between the time that the parts arrived and that following Monday I went on to YouTube to learn how to run the dishwasher since it was something that I hadn't been familiar with. There was some really bad reviews about the dishwasher and that it leaked through the bottom that the utensil holder was right over the heater coil and had a tendency to melt. So at that point I was kind of worrie. They talked about having manufacture indicating you had to level the dishwasher and that was the cause of leak which ultimately these people were saying it wasn't the cause of the leak. So leading up to all that I was very worried. That Monday was the maiden voyage of my dishwasher and it performed without a hitch. I think one of the most surprising pieces was that it was very quiet for a freestanding dishwasher. It cleaned my dishes there was no residue there was nothing,. I will update his time goes on should something occur but I have to say between my communication with a manufacturer how quickly they acted and how wonderfully this thing works I would highly recommend it.. update 1.8.20. this still continues to be a very good purchase I don't use it a lot but when I do it makes me very happy to know that I don't have to do dishes It works well it hooks up easily and it rolls back into place when I'm done. I would highly recommend it.

Definitely took a chance getting this appliance via UPS. They delivered it upside down. It does have a few very minor dents, but they do not effect the performance at all. It was well packaged in my opinion and worth the risk. Yes, mine also had water spots inside and sand in the box. This product is tested prior to shipment for sale, so water inside just makes sense to me. And since it's made in china, shipping it overseas via boat makes the sand completely normal. Unpacking it was a little difficult, being that I'm a single woman who has back problems, but I got it done eventually once my brother and a friend got it up my basement steps into the kitchen. I've been stalking this dishwasher on Amazon for over a year! It's a discontinued brand, and when it is in stock, it's gone just as quickly. I bought this specific one due to its size. I have a built in space for it under my counter and after the one that was there finally went, this was the only portable dishwasher I could find that would fit in the same space. Although a little smaller than my old one, it fits just as expected. It preformed very well on first use and I had no problems with it at all. The only complaints I have is how long the wash cycles are, and mine seems to have some wheel issues because it does not move smoothly. Being so heavy, I can't exactly check that closer on my own. I do not care for the adapter it uses to hook up to the sink either. Because it's so small, I can't leave it in place for everyday use.
