All the AREDS2 ingredients plus astaxanthin
Research (AREDS2 study) shows that taking a product containing lutein and zeaxanthin can reverse damage in the center of the retina in people who have macular degeneration. This disease runs in my family, so my eye doctor has recommended I add these supplements to my daily diet as a preventative measure.Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in the retina and lens, where they may act as natural antioxidants and help absorb damaging, high-energy blue and ultraviolet light. Astaxanthin is also an antioxidant and may protect cells from ageing and damage. These capsules have all the AREDS2 ingredients plus astaxanthin, but a few are in slightly different amounts. The lutein and zeaxanthin are the ones I'm most concerned about and those are the same amounts as in the study. There is also some newer research that indicates that not as much zinc may be necessary. So these these are fine for me.This is a one-month supply. The capsules are medium-sized and easy to swallow. The cost is a little higher than some other brands, but it includes everything I want in one formula.

Eye Like
This seems like a goid formula. The tin can is a nifty change from bottles. The capsules are small and easy to swallow. Dosage is two a day with meals. I regularly take eye vitamins. This one seems to work as well as any. It seems to help with strain, fatigue and dryness. I have experienced no negative side effects.

Close to AREDS 2 Formula, but Not the Same
The large product heading says "AREDS 2 Macular Health Formula," but I feel this is a bit misleading. This Lifio Vision+ Enhanced Eye Protection is "based on" the AREDS 2 formula, but it is not the same. The AREDS 2 formula has 80 mg of zinc per day, and this product just has 20 mg. In addition, the AREDS 2 formula has 4 mg of copper per day, not 2 mg like this product. For someone trying to stop, or at least slow, the progression of macular degeneration, these differences could mean the difference between success and failure. These 60 capsules currently sell for $30.99. I can buy a brand name AREDS 2 formula for less than that, and can get a generic but otherwise identical AREDS 2 formula for much, much less. While I'm sure these Lifio eye protection vitamins are still good in their own way, since I am fighting to preserve my vision, I will stick with the real deal and give these Lifio eye vitamins to my wife, who is not dealing with the onset of macular degeneration but does spend a lot of time on the computer. Am dropping my rating down to 3 stars because this is not the AREDS 2 formula.

So Far So Good...
I work with my hands as an artisan and depend heavily upon having good vision and great eye hand coordination. There are times when I can feel the strain in my eyes, my depth perception becomes off, and I have to slow my roll down. This is what drew me to this product with its claims, "Astaxanthin has been shown to reduce eye strain caused by tired eyes and digital screens. Icelandic Astaxanthin also helps support the ability to focus and refocus and enhance depth perception.".I'm an eye vitamin newbie and learned a few things from the other reviewers, as well as did a little research before I popped my first dosage (serving size is 2 capsules). It's too early to tell if they will help any. If they do, I will become a regular user most definitely.WHAT I LIKE and DISLIKE:1.) There is hardly any taste at all, and the scent, I don't feel is offensive (I am very sensitive to scents). So, these are easy to take and swallow.2.) The metal tin makes me think that the supply will remain more fresh especially with a 2023 expiration date. Plus, it is a cute little container.3.) The tin was sealed. The description and directions are pretty straight forward, BUT, I find the font to be a little small and a bit difficult to read. Maybe after some dosages, that will change. lol4.) A 30 day supply for $30 seems on the expensive side but without any prior Eye Vitamin experience, I have nothing to compare the price to. I suppose if it works, it will be worth it.Overall, I like this product so far. After more use, I will update my review accordingly.

Hard to tell yet if it’s helping.
I have been taking these for a few weeks now hoping that maybe it will help with some of my eyestrain. I work with computers all day long. I have four monitors set up on my desk along with an iPad, Alexa with a screen and a I-phone. Seven screens in front of me all day long, so my eyes need any help that they can get. I do also wear glasses. I have not noticed any big changes yet, but again it’s only been a few weeks. I’m guessing this product may take time to build up in your system and start to help make some repairs if possible. I am really hoping that this will help but time will tell. By the time I’m finished the 30 day supply I may try one more month to see what happens, if I’m seeing any improvements. The ingredients have some research behind them showing that it could possibly help with my eye health. I’m hoping! Capsules are easy to swallow with no negative side effects noticed. Comes in a metal tin type can and a screw on lid which can be a little tricky at times. Seems like a good product. Results are still out.
