Hats aren't really meant to be washed and dried, they just don't come out of the washer wrinkle free. This item definitely helps to hold the shape of the hat and protects it in the washer. I then let it air dry. I wish it had a protection or extension for the bill, but I guess it's not really necessary. They are large, so my hats will move around and sometimes get folded inside the netting. This isn't a firm or hard press that keeps the hat in place, only to somewhat keep the cap open during the washing. Might want to look into the actual all-plastic locking frame that will truly hold the cap in place, not so much the loose netting. Not a bad product, it works for what it's designed to do and hasn't failed, just maybe not the best way to wash a cap if you want to keep it in place.

My husband and I wear lots of ball caps so I needed to find a ballcap holder for our hats to clean in the washing machine. This cap holder is great. It has a standard piece for the cap and since most hats have an adjustment band, you can adjust to fit the cap holder. Best of all you can zip your caps in place while they are being washed and they will not move out of place. These are made well, they have a good price and I believe will last a long time. I highly recommend this item.

I like the 2 for 1 deal and I can wash my hats again. There thicker cloth and plastic than any I found in stores. The only problem is I haven't had them a year and the zipper broke on one, Other than that I'm happy with the one I still have.

This is my second review of this product. The first one I purchased the zipper was damaged after one use. Seller sent me a replacement for the one thus I am writing a follow up review.This product is no better this time than the first time I used it in my first order.I used it three times to wash/dry my caps and each time the caps came off the round hard area designed for the cap and fold inside the zipped meshed liner thus causing my caps to lose its shape.I used it on new and old caps. Same result.This product does not perform as advertised. It does not keep the shape of the cap while being washed or dried.The only use I have for this product is as a stand alone holder for my caps.Waste of money.

i used this product to clean my spouse fitted cap that he loves to wear it's white and it was dirty.. note it was a little mark on the hat after the wash but i sprayed shout it out and cleaned with a cloth but overall he was happy

Put two hats through dishwasher one came out very clean but the red fabric bled into the white a bit. The cap fabric (canvas) stretched so the hat is a little slouchy now, not the same rounded fit as before.The favorite hat, with sweat and white markings came out a bit better than before. Might transition the new identical version I bought him years ago.If it is an irreplaceable hat, this is what you can use. Otherwise, it might be time for a new one.

The zipper on the net cover was very well constructed in that the pull tab tucks neatly into a little sleeve to keep it from catching. After trying another product where I had to unfold the frame and screw in a metal piece at the top to hold the "bowl" of the frame together (and, unfortunately, it was NOT designed to go into a front-loading washing machine), this one is ready to use, with no metal parts to potentially damage the washing machine. The only issue I had (and I don't think this was a big one) was that the "bowl" of the plastic frame got a little bent from going through the spin cycle, but I think I was mostly able to bend it back into shape. This may have been due to the fact that, although I used the gentle cycle, I set the spin cycle to medium instead of low, because I was wanting to spin as much water out of the all-cotton cap so it wouldn't take so long to dry. Next time, I'll keep it on low. Bottom line - it's a good product.

Not as practical as advertised. The cabs come still come out crumbled.
