When searching for a replacement battery, I encountered so much false advertising on capacity. The original battery is rated for 3000mah. This seller rates their battery the same at 3000mah. After using for a week, I can confirm this battery works like the OEM one did when it was new. I appreciate this seller being honest and not giving in to false advertising.

Since the battery was already swollen, removing the case was mostly already done, but you have enough picks to do the job. there is only one board, (charging coil), to remove, by removing 8 screws.Everything goes back easy, except for the fingerprint cable, that is a little difficult.

The screwdriver, instructions, glue template all worked well. However, the replacement battery was barely better than my original S8 battery which only lasts about 2 hours. I gained a little bit of duration by turning every app off that I could. I just changed the battery so I could use the camera. Now, I will still have to carry a long a battery pack.

This kit had lots of tools to help get into the phone. Mine was easy since the battery had expanded and pushed the back off the phone. Took our time trying to get all old glue off and placement of the new form in place (the form has the glue on it and a film you peel off). I don't use the fingerprint reader but it looked like that could be difficult to ensure it was in correct position. Took our time with this to be sure it was done without damaging anything inside. It's been working great for a month now.

This is not an easy repair but is do-able by most tech savvy and mechanically abled persons. The battery doesn't seem refurb and reports 100% health in the device after a recharge cycle. Would recommend if you notice the swelling but the device is still working properly dunno if I would attempt if the device is no longer functional.No complaints and totally worth the money to save and extend the life of a device if swollen battery is starting or become an issue.

First, the battery life on the S8 was horrible. While this battery claims a larger capacity than the OEM battery, I didn't find it to last any longer than the original. You will need to watch videos on youtube on how to replace the battery, but it is possible.
