I'm disabled and it's very difficult to open the red cap bottle. Is the green cap the same?

I've never purchased the red cap bottle so not sure if they are the same or not. However on the green one you have to push down and twist away from you at the same time. Then it sort of pops and will then come off. While a little different than a normal lid, I wouldn't say it is difficult for someone with normal dexterity to open this. But based on your disability I can't say if it would be hard for you or not. If they accept returns you could always try it and send back if you can't do it.

is the product preservative free?

No Rohto Cool is not preservative free. The preservative is benzalkonium chloride .

Are these considered hydrating?

I am not sure if that’s how it’s categorized but it is soothing. It has a cooling affect and gets the red out.

Is their dye in this product ?

Unless it's a clear dye, No. It's the best product to clear my bloodshot eyes that I've ever used. I'm a lifetime Opcon user too. Eye allergies suck....well, that, and being overserved red wine fairly regularly. Ha ha.
