Best paint I ever used!
Best paint I ever used! It is not thick as other brands but very opaque. Although it is mainly for the airbrush but I use regular brush. So easy to use. I have their metallic silver also.

Excellent acrylic paint
As an avid modeler I'm very particular about the paints I use. I prefer Vallejo acrylics because they are easy to use, self leveling and the water-based paint means indoor use is not a problem. I use a portable paint booth and vent through a window.

Possibly my new favorite paint
I bought this because a true black metallic is virtually impossible to find anymore. Somehow AP's new (and otherwise fantastic) Fanatics line which I live by doesn't have one. I bought this to paint the black armor on a FF12 Fran statue I bought. I'd still prefer if it was a touch darker, but painting it on matte black primer got me close enough to my target. This paint is so well-thinned I used it with a brush straight out of the bottle (currently can't use my airbrush). It goes on so smooth, and the color and sheen look great and consistent. It does have some issues with bubbling out of the nozzle but I think that's just a cost of doing business with metallics. Really with my shop had this one so I didn't have to pay the cost of the bottle in shipping.

Folded, Spindled, and Mutilated
The paint arrived in a timely fashion and is the most beautiful shade of French Blue. It’s perfect for the Blue Nose Mustangs of the 8th Air Force, as you can see in the attached photo. Unfortunately, the envelope took a trip through the USPS Smooshing Machine before it arrived. Pondering on this, envelopes might not be the best way to transport paint. Addendum: I did not request a replacement, but the nice folks at We Have Cool Stuff sent me one anyway. So a quick shout-out to the excellent customer service from them! Thanks guys!

Beautiful
Vallejo is known for quality paints and this one shows it. A beautiful gold that's neither dull nor is it gaudy it gives the correct nuances frequently missed in other paints.

Great product- you wont be disappointed
I have been using Vallejo products almost exclusively for a number of years. The choice of colors is excellent whereby application and finish are always predictable and top notch. These can be used in an airbrush or brushed on with great adhesion and durability. An excellent product and highly recommended.

vallejo air...
Unlike every other model paint i`ve tried, this vallejo air sprays paint smoothly and evenly right from the bottle. It requires no thinning or drying retardant , and you don`t even need an expensive airbrush set-up...i used one of those cheap Preval sprayers that are notorious for not spraying acrylic paints very well (if at all),but i had no problems with vallejo air.I just dipped the Preval tube right into the open vallejo bottle and sprayed away. This particular color is olive grey-a german ww2 color (RAL 6006) used on helmets and other equipment. I found the color a bit too light ,so i added a little black and came up with a near perfect feldgrau dunkel (dark fieldgrey)...on an added note, this paint can be brushed on as well without leaving hideous brushstrokes like you get with tamiya bottled paint (testors acrylic model paint works good too for brushing)...but for spraying, i`m sticking with vallejo for now on....

I gave this a 3 star rating for one simple reason. 71.097 is not a primer, it is simple a grey color. Everything else about the transaction was great and I had my product fast and is a nice thin grey paint. http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/model-paints/faqs/3 7.5. Is your Model Air color 71.097 the same product as the new primers? No, this is simply a grey color, created years ago in the Model Air Line. We are changing the name to Base Grey precisely in order to avoid misunderstanding.
