Let me get this out of the way from the start:There are two types of iPod in the later gens, and they are referred to as thick and thin. There's a couple ways to tell, but the main way is looking at the port. You'll have to pull up pics to compare, but the thick and thin get their names from the obvious difference in thickness.Anyone in the reviews saying it didn't fit are because they have a thick iPod, and this case is only for the thin variant.For the thin 7th Gen, this fits great! I got it to product the fresh look after doing a flash mod, expanded battery, and finished it all off with a new shell. Makes me more likely to keep this in my pocket without concerns of scratches. Headphone hole could be a bit bigger, I'm gonna have to drill it a bit to allow one specific pair of headphones to plug in but that one causes issues on multiple devices so I won't fault the shell for that.I love that it covers the screen too, something I forgot was a thing before the advent of touch screens

Protects my iPod from scratches well enough… wouldn’t try dropping it from big heights though, because of that HHD in the iPod, would probably kill it… looks good, feels like good plastic, it’s a good case if you want to show your iPod’s beauty while still protecting it.

Tried on both generation iPods and neither fits, though its listed as fitting both. Huge gap between cases and no way they will snap together. Now my case does not appears as pictured and perhaps its an updated design but it appears to have a small area in the back for an apple air tag to be added which would have been a nice touch had the case actually fit either iPod. Extremely disappointed that both time and money have been wasted on this purchase as Amazon no longer appears to make 2 day deliveries in my area and all shipments take upwards of 9 days to travel one state over. Just another disappointment in a growing list of bad products being sold on amazon.

Like the way it looks really good product

This product protects my iPod Classic 5.5. It's not perfect (it arrived with smudges that cannot be removed with Windex, paper towels or microfiber cloth), but that's only a problem on the bottom of the case. This is for my second iPod (a backup), so I don't need to see the beautiful "mirror silver" back of the iPod, and that means I won't be sad about the smudges.Just one other thing: another reviewer stated that the case is impossible to remove. That's seemingly true, because you cannot remove it with your hands. It's impossible to do so.However, I recently began a watch collecting hobby and discovered that you can use a tool intended for removing the watch case. Just insert it in one of the corners of the case and lift up.This was how I was able to remove the case, thoroughly clean it, and replace it, to ensure the "irremovable smudges" weren't just my imagination.Let's face it, most people listen to music on streaming services. Only some of us prefer mp3s (in fact, my iPod purchase was a brand new one! In 2023! I can't stand being connected to the internet all the time and was more than happy to purchase this device on eBay).More to the point, you won't find a case like this anywhere else for much longer. I intended to buy three or four more, to match the number of iPods I plan to buy (yes, in 2023) for different locations, including my car, my second car, my office, and my home.

The case that came with my refurbished iPod did not fit so I subsequently bought this replacement. Works like a charm, easy to get on and off when you want but won't come off when you DON'T want it to.

The case is clear hard plastic and feels nice. It was a little hard to snap in all the way to my iPod 5.5 30 gb but snapped in after a few minutes of playing with it. Feels durable, the access to the ports are big and the hold switch hole is large enough to toggle. Some people are saying theirs didn’t fit their 5.5 (or 5th) 30 gb iPod but I’m thinking those people may have gotten faulty ones. This case is so much better then those silicone cases, I originally bought one and the silicone was loose and made the iPod look ugly. Now my iPod looks sharp and still fits into my dock. Would recommend just make sure to play with it before you quit.

My iPod Classic 7 gen 160gb fits in the case perfectly. The case I received had a deep scratch/crack so I asked for a replacement. The replacement has the same defect. It being a new case it bothers me looking at it front and center so back it goes.
