UPDATE
I love everything about these wheels. light, look great, sound great, dirt cheap.But....After about 300miles of hard climbing and fast downhill they're toast.Front has a flat spot on it.Rear got really lose and started popping and snapping. Here's the deal.I weigh 210lbs (95Kg) and I climb steep and crank hard.If you're a light fast guy like lots of my riding buddies are - go for it; you can spend hundreds more for wheels not as good. But if you're a Clydesdale like me, stick with high spoke count HD wheels.UPDATEI discovered that what I thought was an out-of-round wheel, was actually the tire not the wheel. But here's what you need to be aware of:FIRSTwhen you get these wheels - throw out the plastic rim strip that comes with them and replace them with fabric tape.I've had 3 flats on two sets of these wheels because of the rim strips. They don't cover the spoke holes because they're loose and shift. And if you run high pressure (100PSI+) they get pushed into the spoke holes and make little bubbles. You will also discover machining chips under the rim tape that needs to be cleaned out.SECONDBefore you ever put them on the ground, tighten the spokes on the rear wheel especially. The non-drive side spokes are too loose. You will need a truing stand to not change the dish as you tighten. Then check the spoke tension after you've run them awhile. If you're willing to do this, these are a great set of wheels. Especially at the price.

Does not fit with a compatible Shimano cassette.
The media could not be loaded. Cassette (SHimano 10 speed) will not fit correctly because the spline is not manufactured correctly. I assemble the cassette to a Shimano hub and it works perfectly but when assembled to the JKLapin wheel it won't seat correctly and is totally unusable. I really liked these wheels and the weight but I cannot use the rear wheel because it does not fit a brand new Shimano cassette I bought that is supposed to be compatible. Also, it only came with one spacer ring and nothing for other cassette sizes and the product description says it is compatible with 8-9 or 10 speed cassettes.Update: I found the problem.1. There is a manufacturing defect in the machining of the spline part of the hub (where it keys into the cassette) along the length of the spline there is an area near the bottom where there is a fillet that shouldn't be there (causes an interference).2. At the bottom of the spline the diameter of the slotted areas increases ever so slightly which prevents the cassette from seating. The things I liked about the wheel sets:1. Light, I did not validate the weight but if they are what they say they are the wheels are pretty light2.Nice rims and braking surfaces3. Decent looking and they arrived very true with consistent spoke tension across the wheelsWhat I didn't like:1. Rear spline defective2. Sealed bearings that cannot be maintained and have a higher rolling resistance than loose bearings with cones (however for the price this is appropriate in my opinion)I am an engineer and have worked in China and done quality control at manufacturing sites there. This is a typical quality control failure where a sub-vendor or the manufacturer has either missed a spec. on the control drawing or the machinist used the wrong setup, tooling or process.Something that can happen to anybody but it could be that a whole batch has this defect. Earlier wheel sets must not have had this issue since the reviews were solid.I also appreciate that the supplier of the set didn't ask me to return them since shipping them back to China would be a hassle. I hope they resolve the problem because I think for the price this is a good set of wheels for everyday commuting or maybe even recreational training because they are light and very affordable and come nicely trued. If not for the quality issue I experienced I would have given 4 stars.D.

Cheap wheels
Waited until I had a few miles to review these wheelsThe good...1. Wheels are pretty light and climb really well.2. Bearings roll smoothThat's about it for the good. Now the bad...1. Freehub is just barely wide enough for my 105 11sp cassette. Took multiple attempts to finally get it mounted.2. rear wheel is not laced correctly. At least I've never seen a rear wheel cross laced with all spokes laced from one side of the spoke flange.3. 700 miles in and broke a spoke and rear wheel needed trued. 1st spoke I've ever broken in 1000's of miles. When replacing with the spares they send you another spoke broke while tightening them.4. Wheels are advertised with "flat" (aero) spokes. My wheels came with standard round spokesBought these for a carbon bike that was in an accident just to see if the frame would hold up & wouldn't crack. They did the job of cheap wheel but probably won't do the job of long lasting wheel.Update.... Approx 1300-1400 miles on these wheels and have had 5 broken spokes on the rear wheel. Wheel hoops and hubs are fine but the spokes are trash. If you are going to ride a bike hard, pick a different wheelset. These are for casual light weight riders .New wheelset on order

Got here so fast! Not as light as advertised. Initial review, haven't ridden yet
I can't believe how fast they got here. Ordered August 4, arrived August 9. Surely this can't be typical but I'm grateful. The good: Pretty true out of the box. Spokes are round, hubs are red. Rear hub makes a lot of noise, kind of a clicking sound. Sounds like it needs lubricating. Not so good: They weigh about 60 grams more than advertised. Without skewers or anything front weighed 767 g, rear 949g, total 1716g. advertised 1650g. This is more than rounding error or scale differences. Not enough to send em back but not exactly right. This is a pinned wheel. The braking surface is machined. The spoke tension is pretty uniform. They are the lightest wheels I could afford. The set is 210 g lighter than my old wheels. We'll see how they ride and whether or not they stay true. Will update

Value for money
Had a couple manufacturing dings in the sides, but i was able to smooth them so not worried about cutting into the tire. They look good, are pretty true out of the box, and roll well. Good value s t the price point
