SDTC Tech 2-Pack Brass Pipe Fitting 1/4" NPT Male to 1/2" NPT Female Reducer Adapter

I ordered 2, and the 2 of them leak the water due to the crack from bad casting quality.

I made a mistake. NPT stands for National Pipe Thread which is an American standard. The description of items can be misleading because for instance 1/4” NPT is not 1/4” but closer to 1/2”. And 1/2” NPT is actually closer to 3/4”. There is a standard which can be seen in a chart, available on the internet among other places. This item as received was in at least one instance, perfect condition, accurately described.

This is frustrating buying this total garbage brass part, I barley tightened it to connect to power washing pump, and it broke in half, and now the other half is stuck inside the threads of my power washing pump head. Now I have to find a quality part, PLUS try and remove this POS useless garbage part! Do not buy this part. I was not paid to review this product, just a regular amazon customer that got scammed by this junk quality part producer/seller vender, etc.

I used these to connect new valves to an old steam (one-pipe) heating system. They made it possible to add very upgraded, new valves without cutting any pipe or rethreading valve stems. They are brass, so of course they work perfectly and are likely to last through many years of future valve changes.

Not the right size as noted on item I ordered. Needed 1/2 in and 1/4 inch as stated on item description. Received 1inch and 1/2inch.
