I can swallow the capsules without water if I want to There is no flavor there is no Absorbency as far as I can tell. I had a stroke a while back and the Dr. told me it would help if I lost some weight. I was looking online for something to help with that. I did not want to take perscription pills. but I found the Banaba Leaf Extract. It is all natural with no chemicals in it as far as I can tell. I have gone from almost 230# to about 201# in about two & 1/2 months, but I have also cut out all sweets and starches from my normal diet. I eat all the protine and vegetables I want. I have found a sugerless soft drink I like and drink lots of black tea with an artificial sweetner. Things are looking up.

I've been using this a few years and it helps keep my A1c down to 6 and that is diet controlled. I take it every other day. May go to every day.
