Highwood Pocono Deep Seating Armchair, Weathered Acorn with Sunbrella Dupione Palm Cushions

As a landscape designer, I'm always on the lookout for furnishings and storage solutions which coordinate well with the materials used in my landscapes. Because so many of my clients are moving towards some kind of composite or recycled plastic decking material rather than wood, I was excited to find this line of deck boxes, chairs, and tables that coordinate well with many of the decking materials my clients have. In addition, I'm intrigued by the idea that Highwood also sells decking, fencing, and trim products with the same finishes, so I could in theory specify a landscape in which the fencing accents matched the chairs, for example.This chair was easy to put together and has a very classy look. Though I'm seven months pregnant, I was able to construct the chair in about 45 minutes from a seated position, without asking for any help. I'm not terrifically handy, so that's saying a lot about the ease of assembly.It's generously sized, and even though I'm currently larger than usual, there's more than enough room for me to sit down and for my cat to curl up next to me on the cushion. People of any size should find that this chair is comfortable for their needs.I particularly love the Sunbrella cushions. The one you sit on is firm and supportive, while the one you lean back on is softer and really invites you to sink back into it. They're perfect, and pretty much every landscape designer I know recommends using Sunbrella fabrics outside because they resist fading and damage from the regular rigors of being out-of-doors. I chose the Palm color because I felt it would be less likely to show wear over time, and it's got a lovely tone - it's a deep enough color to fit in with a variety of color schemes, yet it doesn't have that dingy army look that some greens can take on - it looks great with the acorn wood color of the chair.The chair is also easy to keep clean and repair if you get a scratch. It wipes off easily, needs no regular maintenance or staining to stay looking nice, and small scratches can be treated with steel wool and wiped with pledge to get that nice luster again (there's a video on YouTube which shows you how).Overall, I'd highly recommend this classy line of furniture. The company has been very responsive to my questions and suggestions as a professional, the materials are attractive and go well with many styles of composite or recycled plastic decking, and they've proven easy to assemble and both comfortable and luxurious to use. Since I got it I've been looking for excuses to go and sit outside!

Nice looking and good concept but ridiculously priced. To get two chairs and a loveseat, you are looking at $2,200. I just can't justify that for plastic that sits outside.
