The Biggest Story ABC Review: Engaging retelling of the Gospel for preschoolers - Every once in a while, a book comes my way that impacts my entire family—you know the kind of book I mean. Books like The Jesus Storybook Bible or Found. This sweet book is a board book, so I admit I wondered if it would be too baby for my 5yo and 3yo; however, we quickly discovered that the format aside, it’s actually perfect for preschoolers. Perfect! You see, my 3yo is on her way to preschool this fall and my 5yo is headed to kindergarten; my daughter is learning her letters, and my son is learning what sounds the letters make. An alphabet primer is just the thing. Each page introduces a letter of the alphabet, and then has one sentence telling a part of the gospel story with a key word using that page’s letter. For example, for the L page, the sentence is, "God gave them the Law, but they disobeyed." (The L in Law is underlined.) Plus, the illustrations are stunning and engaging. We’ve had the most fun with this book! First, my 3yo looks at the letter on the page and tells me what it is. Then we talk about what sound it makes. I read the sentence, and my 5yo tells me what word in that sentence begins with the page’s letter! But of course, the best part is that they are learning and relearning the gospel story in 26 simple sentences that are comprehensible to their little minds. The gospel is not dumbed down at all—just stripped down to clear language that children can appreciate. They ask to read this book every single day; I think by the end of the summer, they might have it memorized. I love this book so much, it has become my new go-to birthday and baby shower gift. Review: The Story of the Bible in 26 Letters - This is an incredible children's book! As Christians, my wife and I desire to raise our two children to know and to love Jesus and to see the story of God's work of salvation from Genesis to Revelation. When I first read about this book, I was very interested because it seeks to do just that while using the letters of the alphabet. I am familiar with Kevin DeYoung and even got to hear him speak at a Desiring God Conference in Minnesota several years ago, so I felt like the presentation of the biblical story would be solid even though simplified for young readers. I was more than impressed with the book. First, the artwork is amazing, and my kids love it. Second, the story is very solid. It is really amazing that the entire story of salvation can be told in so short a space. Obviously, a lot of details have been left out, but what remains is the core of the entire biblical narrative. My wife and I have loved reading this book to our girls, and our girls love to look at by themselves throughout the day. This is really a fantastic way to start teaching the story of the Bible to children at a young age!

TOO good to pass....don't pass on it.
Absolutely love this book so much! The amount of detail that goes into this book is insane. I vote to ignore all those who say negative things about this book. We can't please everyone, and in fact those who gave a negative review are actually harming the kingdom. Don't waste your time leaving a negative review, instead return it and move on. At least they're publishing christian books. How many worldly books you have at your house as of right now? Exactly. This book is phenomenal, and I love that it doesn't have skin color to add a special twist. The kids in my church enjoyed this book. How creative, focusing on the ABCs and tying Christianity to it! ig: @thepaezs

Love this gospel story for kids
My kids love this book. I love that it’s not just the abc’s but a story incorporating all the letters telling the story of the gospel. My kids have basically memorized it & love to review it over & over.

Very thoughtful faith book for baby
Love this book! The ABCs are great. I love that there’s a full sentence on each page, I read the whole sentence with my 3 year old and they have even sparked conversation with my older kids. I just read the letter and coordinating word from each page with my 9 month old. The colors are just as eye catching throughout the book as they are on the front cover.

Educational in more ways than one.
My daughter loves this book. It has helped teach her the ABC’s as well as the biblical story. She also loves the illustrations.

Must Have
This should be in every kids library! Biblically sound, and so engaging for little ones. It’s practically great because of the colors and pictures and a good way to learn abcs. The best part is teaching your child the truth of the gospel message, it’s a great resource and a great gift to purchase for a baby shower or child’s b-day as well!

It’s all round a good abc book but it could have been simpler. For example G is for gnats, should have been something like God or good.

We've purchase this book as a gift and for our own child and we love it so much. The colors are vibrant so babies love it, the graphics are beautiful and I like that it comes in a series of three books as my child grows up they'll have the next book with more graphics and more complicated stories. It's also fun to read as we've memorized it both my husband and I, and my 20-month-old likes to look at the front pages where the alphabets are and it helps them learn them.

After my son received this book as a gift, I’ve gifted it to others. The ABC story is creative and the artwork is unique - not cartoonish like most children’s books would be. I love reading it to my little one.

Beautiful pictures, a great overview of the bible and works also as a great present. Sturdy pages so your toddler can play with it aswell.

As some have noted, there is a lack of Gospel focus in this book and a nonsensical silent G in an ABC book. Worst of all, this is a book published by a reformed author...so why does it contain second commandment violations? Without these flaws it would have had five stars.
