Awesome design. Check my install video. I installed all over the house.
The media could not be loaded. I have been waiting for the built-in option from Amazon since the beginning. This is it. I can put an intercom and everything else Alexa does in every room for $60, including the Dot. Its right where we can see them and they dont get moved and in the way. Check my video for the one I installed in the basement. It take a little planning on wiring but its so worth it. "computer, Earl Grey, hot!"

I like it
Mount Genie must have snuck into my thoughts as this mount is almost exactly what I would have made if I could make these things. Looks good next to a Nest thermostat and it takes paint well. For power, I dropped the cable into the wall and opened up the gap next to an outlet on the other side of the wall. A small notch in the outlet plate lets it sit flat.

Works as advertised and a great value
This is a good mount. Easy to install and it comes with everything needed to install it. The components appear to be a good quality as well. The template is very useful and there is just enough lip on the mount to cover any slight mistakes you make cutting the holeI used a drywall saw but I think if I install anymore I will spring for the 3-5/8" hole saw.Only feedback I have is that I mounted mine in the ceiling. The mount itself is going nowhere...it is SNUG. The Dot however is a little looser than I would prefer...I dont think it would fall out but I used the 3M tape they include to add some security to the bottom.Sound-wise I did not notify any deterioration in music...it's responsive.I was able to mount mine in the ceiling as I have outlets up there and can access it. I am somewhat concerned about heat as the Dot is rated for up to 113 degrees but since the face and the majority of the body is below or level with the drywall I think it will be OK. It would be nice to have some kind of 'dust' cover for the back so you can cover it back up or not worry about debris getting in the back.Overall, I give it 2-thumbs up.

Highly recommended if you want to flush mount your Echo Dot!
I have been eying this particular product for quite some time now and pulled the trigger on it last week. I'm so very glad I did. My particular room wouldn't easily accommodate an Echo Dot in the location I needed it, so I decided to mount mine in my ceiling. This product worked absolutely perfectly. I have an old 1950s home which sports some thick wood paneling for the ceiling and I still managed to mount this with very little effort (used a jig saw to cut the hole, though a hole saw would have been ideal). It worked out so well I honestly could have gotten away with not using any builder's 3m adhesive/glue (the stuff you use to glue concrete, wood, plastic, etc. together) because once the Dot was installed it put enough pressure on the casing's walls that it forced a perfectly snug fit against the hole it rests in inside the ceiling. That said, I did put a small dab of adhesive on the inner rim of the mount just for a little peace of mind. The Dot sits so well in the mount that I didn't see any reason to use the small 3m adhesive strip that is supplied with the kit to keep the Dot in place. The only thing I had to do which most people with drywall wouldn't have to is I had to remove the plastic tabs that are meant to push into the drywall to lock it in place. It simply wouldn't have worked with those in my particular application, so I easily trimmed them off with a box cutter.I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who wants their Dot flush mounted. It looks great and functions exactly as advertised.I'd also like to mention that I DO NOT hear any muffling from my Dot. It works just as well as all of the others in my home and I can hear Alexa perfectly.

Close but no cigar...
“Patent Pending Sound Channel provides un-muffled, crisp sound from built-in speaker with out any echo.”Firstly, the Dot already does not supply “un-muffled, crisp sound”, so this thing can’t perform miracles like that. Doing an A:B comparison will let you hear that this DOES eat clarity and volume. What this ceiling mount does do (so far) is hold the Dot’s hockey puck firmly enough that kids’ bouncing around upstairs probably won’t juggle this enough for the Dot to fall out. Everything about this is friction fit, both the disk in it and the plastic’s fit into the drywall (even if you make a perfect hole). I used my own 3M double sided foam mounting tape to hold the Dot in, and will search out some glue that will tack to both the plastic and the drywall if the whole shebang ever falls out. Which it may do...I wouldn’t buy this again. Other in-wall mounts just have to be better both at secure mounting and at dealing with the sound limitations designed into the Echo Dot.
