Great book
A great Return gift book for Kids…There is an amazing quote by Garrison K (famous American author, singer, radio personality) that “A Book is a gift you can open again and again”. I can’t agree more. Recently for my daughters 9th birthday, I decided to give this book to all the 20+ kids as a return gift.We had this book since my daughter was 5 years and it was one of her favorite book as it explains about the important Hindu mantras along with its meaning in English. Towards the end it has excellent activities and coloring pages which keeps the Kids engaged and also teaches them about the some basics of Hindu dharma in a subtle way via puzzle, maze etc.I specifically liked the activity where Mother is teaching her kids about taking care of Mother Earth and the Hindu Shloka of “Mata Bhumihi..” (Earth is our mother, we are her Kids) is explained.

I was surprised and amazed to find this kind of book on Amazon
I was surprised and amazed to find this kind of book on Amazon. I ordered it, got it in two days and I read it on the same day even though it's a kids book. Very innovative and intuitive contents; the author tried to explain (and let us experience) a Hindu family's lifestyle. I like the short poems. Those are really sweet. Pictures are perfect for the topics. My daughter liked it very much. I think kids can learn good values through these interesting poems. There are well explained Shloka as per the situation with easy to understand the meaning. I will highly recommend this book for kids as well as adults (who thinks they are still a kid by nature ;-)

I purchased this book for my classroom and it instantly became the talk of the class. Not only are the pictures bright and beautiful, but the personal story educates the readers into such a beautiful culture. The book is a catalyst to deep conversations and shared experiences of my students which ultimately is a dream for any teacher. The story educates the reader on and allows us to apply our learning through the activities provided. There is a lot of history, substance, and relevant information for the reader to take away from the story. My students and I love this book!

Everyday need with nice illustrations.
When we were kids, my mom and aunt were teaching us the songs on Gods, Goddess or even on moral topics which we used to sing / chant many times a day after bath or during meditation or during yoga etc. These were known to aunt or mom by their parents. Hence passed on from generation to generation by oral tradition.Later when I started going to school, I found a book in Kannada ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನಿತ್ಯಪಾಠ (ನಿತ್ಯ ಬಾಯಿಪಾಠ) or "makkaLa nitya pATha (nithya bAyi pATha)" published by ಸಮಾಜ ಪುಸ್ತಕಾಲಯ or Samaja Pustakala, Dharwad. This book had everything what been passed on to my parents orally plus few more, but written. Our kids are even luckier to have what we grew up singing with with nice illustrations. The author brought the treasure of India kids with today's presentation. I teach Indian culture in community programs and use this book. I also recommended this book to parents. And also this is going to be something I buy and gift on kids birthdays.A little downside to this book is the reference of the word Hindu in lot many places. As this word is conceived by many as religions (though it is not), author would have used India for Hindu. These songs belong to whole of India and Indians (whether current Hindus or Ex-Hindus). If i had a choice, I would have marked it four and half stars for this reason. But worth keeping in a house with kids and let them practice the songs from this book.

Love love it!
This is my favorite book, I love it. It teaches slokas and the idea of different Gods for different time/purpose very gently and in a simple, relatable manner for the kids. My daughter (5y) was very excited to see a girl in the book who was hindu like her and says the same shlokas. Well done Milind Makwana. I really love this book and its now my favorite go to gift to friends. For people like us who are away from our culture and want to teach our kids som basic shlokas and ideas of our culture, this book really helped.
