Works with ETC Nomad, but only with ethernet
I got this to add universes to my nomad setup. I was using a macbook air and the nomad software, and could not find an additional 2 port gadget in time for a project i needed 4 universes for, so I ordered this and had it in 2 days. The important thing to note is that this will not work through USB with the nomad. (or with an actual ion console for that matter, i suppose) My macbook air does not have an ethernet port so I was actually able to connect to it wirelessly by plugging it into a wireless router. This seemed to work but i didn't trust it over wifi for the actual show. For less critical operations it might be fine if you have a stable wireless connection. I wound up using a different computer that does have an ethernet port, but I also purchased a USB to RJ45 adapter to try with the Macbook Air as an alternative. I also found that an ethernet connection was required to run the DMXKing configuration software, as well. A note that may help others is that my PC asked for the .NET framework version 3.5 to be able to install the software. It kept telling me that the latest version of .NET was already installed so I was stuck. Finally I realized that what I had was a newer version of .NET but you need 3.5 ALSO, which is available from microsoft, and after that the installation went through without an issue. So, it took a little fiddling to get it going, takes a little patience and a little knowledge of networking but it works well once I got it figured out.

Simple and effective. No PoE, requires desktop app downloads
Simple setup, and works easily over artnet. Best 2U artnet for the money. You will want to invest in the e version to enable PoE and the security of ethercon connectors.Only complaint is you must download apps (two different apps, one for USB connection, another for artnet configuration) to configure the unit. I'd much prefer a web interface on the device.

connects with Light-key on mac 99% of the time, seems a little pricy
works great, seems like it could be cheaper

works perfectly
i was expecting configuration issues with this, but it was plug and play. handles both universes (in output mode) with no problems. i will probably cover the LED's with black tape when i hang it in the grid as the indicators flickering (especially the ones on the back) can be really distracting.

Product and support better than set up instructions
This did the trick, but if you're like me and don't know how to set up on a network, get someone who does. My school IT guy did it, but I could not follow the instructions by myself as they were aimed at someone with past my knowledge of the terms used. After that, i had to call their support in CA, and he was so helpful! I got my software set to artnet and he suggested ways to troubleshoot my second line that led to a month long problem being solved. So, product was solid, tech support wonderful, directions a bit unclear for set up.

Configuration and documentation are dicey but now it works great
I'm giving this four stars only because the instructions and documentation are kind of weak, leaving an awful lot of trial and error for a newbie to DMX.With that said, once I figured out a few key settings, everything started working fine. Now that it's running, I've been getting to know the Vibrio app on my iPad, which (once you figure it out) does a nice job of fading and recalling scenes.Basically, I had to fiddle a lot with the detailed settings; the out-of-the-box experience did absolutely nothing. I'm using a 3-pin DMX input from another light board, and another 3-pin DMX output to my lights, plus the Ethernet cable. In the downloadable "eDMX Configuration" app, in the Port A and Port B tabs, you have to assign the proper universe, and pick DMX IN sACN for the port connected to the other controller, and pick DMX Out for the port connected to the lights. You also have to set all the configuration on the Network tab carefully. Until I fixed all those settings manually, nothing happened even though I could see the network activity light flashing.

Double Check Connections and Configurators!
I recently used this for a show and I thought it would send signal via art-net throught the USB the same as any other USB to DMX dongle. It sends data through ethernet and power through USB, just keep this in mind when you purchase this product. Also you want the E-DMX Configurator not the Ultra DMX Configurator. Also run the art-net output as secondary art-net.

Exactly what i needed
So far, 100% what i needed. Easily recognized by Vista on Mac Mojave, configuration was a breeze with the software you download from their site.
