Buy these!!!!! I have looked for sooooo long for one of these "old school" hair holders with the wooden stick. Made here in the USA, and quality workmanship as it SHOULD be. Thick, beautiful real leather! You will not be disappointed with these. I am going to order more as gifts. They are perfect, just as I remembered from years ago. Everyplace else I tried to order similar hair holders from was horrible. This leather company got it right!!!! I am so pleased. Support this company. Finally, a company worth ordering from!!!!!

I bought these for my Mom and she is wearing them every day. They are a big hit at our house and the leather is beautiful. Just a note that in her wavy hair this item works perfectly while in my curly hair the stick is resistant going through the leather so it is sometimes difficult for me to use. The good news is that once the stick is through the leather piece it is not going anywhere for either of us until we want to take it out. No sliding here, which is a nice feature and I am satisfied with this purchase.

I loved the leather and design of the pieces. My only wish is that the sticks that went with the barrettes were painted black or brown and the point wasn’t so sharp. For such beautifully crafted leather barrettes the stick did not do them justice. They are so plain and sharp, they could put an eye out. Otherwise a great product. I am in search for new sticks.

I love the craftsmanship of this product. i purchased some back in 2021 and use them often. They have become more pliable and easier to use without any damage to the product. I did manage to loose one of the sticks though. I just ordered 2 more. I am writing this review because I see that now there are many more options for a much cheaper price. That is a crying shame!!! The other ones may look similar and be cheaper but they are NOT hand crafted. I wish to support this artist and hate when machines imitate a craftsman. Spen a fraction more and get real quality.

I really like these, but was hoping for something that I could put my hair in a pony tail with, but my hair is too thin. I can twist my hair up and use one of these like most folks use a claw clip and they work great. Took a minute to figure it out so it looks nice. I like the look and wear it that way, but I sure wish I could also get a smaller one to just make a pony tail. I'm rather a lazy thing but would like to not look so much like a lazy thing; a pretty pony tail holder would help.My hair is not super-duper thin, I think you might need rather thick hair to just use these for a pony tail.

I feel a little bad giving this a less than stellar review since it is a well-made product, but the description is misleading. I have straight, fine hair and would not have thought a product like this would work well for me, but decided to give it a try because the description claimed it would work, regardless of the volume of my hair.The description is correct in that it is physically possible to wear it by combining it with a regular hair elastic. It's just that it looks bad. It is painfully obvious that my hair is not "filling out" this barrette. It looks extremely oversized. It would need to be about half the size it is to look proportional to the amount of hair I have. I tried using it to secure a bun as well, and that was even more of a flop (literally). I won't wear them, and it's disappointing because I do like the style and it is well made. If you have a lot of hair I'm sure you will love this product.
