easy to set up and works well
easy to set up and works well. If you're using it as a heater check for the sun sign at the top of the screen. It's slightly counterintuitive when you compare it to your house thermostat. You really don't need the instructions if you just bare in mind: Heating - Low Temp On, High temp off. Simple. Chilling - Do the opposite and look for the Snow Flake Sign at the top of the screen. You might want to set it plugged into a flexible extension lead so you easily see it. Then unplug and plug it in, already set, to that awkward plug behind the furniture.

A Very Versatile Product
Excellent product. It can be used as a time switch or a temperature-operated device. Ideal for a frost thermostat where the temperature must not fall below freezing. The temperature sensing element can be placed next to the unit or at a distance.

Cheaper than buying a new fridge.
The thermostat on my fridge/freezer had become very unreliable. A replacement would likely be difficult to source. A similar fridge/freezer may be difficult to find. The solution was to have a sensor that would turn the fridge power on and off in order to control the temperature. The lead to the temperature sensor was routed past the seal on the hinge side of the fridge cabinet and the sensor was positioned in the top of the cabinet. The old fridge thermostat was set at maximum. The new control unit turn on temperature was set to 4.4 C and the turn off temperature was set to 3.9 C. This ensured that the freezer section was always colder than -18 C (typically -20 C). The ratio of the turn on and turn off times with this setting is about 1:1.4 which must give a saving on electricity consumption. No normal fridge thermostat provides this degree of control. The only slight downside is that the fridge light doesn't come on during the off period.

Excellent piece of kit
This is a great item. I use it on my vivarium & it's so easy to use. Very simple to set up as expected from Inkbird. It's very accurate & reliable unlike some temp controllers I have used in the past. I was always worried about the temperature in the viv as all my thermometers gave off different temp readings. I dont worry anymore. Excellent value for money. It does exactly what it's supposed to do just like the heat controllers I use in my fish tanks. Another great item from inbird. 5 star item.

Brilliant to control the temperature in my tortoise outdoor shed set up!
This product is really easy to use and install. It is accurate in controlling the temperatures so far and makes me feel better knowing it clicks in if too cold. As shown in the picture, I have connected it to a tubular heater (as it is an on/off system) and this just helps to ensure the temperature doesn't drop below the set value in the tortoises shed set up. It is also more energy efficient as i am only heating the shed when it's needed. So far so good! I am really impressed with the ease of this product and have happy warm tortoises.

Very concerning issue!!
This product has been amazing for a long time, but yesterday I came home from a very short holiday (2 days) and found my tank at 5 C lower than what I’ve set it to be. I checked and it had gone back to factory settings… I can only assume that maybe the power went off whilst we were gone and it reset the settings or something? Luckily all my fish have survived but I’m not happy this can happen! There should obviously be a safety that when it gets unplugged or there is a power cut, it stays the same settings!!
