We liked how their was an option for the light to be on standby mode, which meant the light was not as bright but was on, but when you got close, the motion sensor would detect movement and go onto full brightness. It is fairly bright in full mode, and when in standby mode still very visible. I thought this was a smart way to conserve energy so it would only use full power when really needed. However, recently, the motion detector stopped working reliably, in fact it sometimes stopped working at all; you could stand directly underneath it waving your arms and nothing would happen... I have reached out to the manufacturer and they followed up in a timely manner... they said they will send a replacement, so I am waiting for that... hopefully I just received a bad unit, and the new one will function properly... I will update this review once we receive the new unit and see if they honor their warranty, which is supposed to be 3 years.

TenKoo offer both, a great product and even better customer service.Now, I have bought 3 TenKoo 10W and this is my personal experience on items bought, not given or paid by someone else for me.Positive:1. Very sturdy, waterproof and dust-proof (as an added bonus, no insect will be getting into it and nesting in it)2. Very easy to install, battery power means no wires to run. Post or wall mounted. Comes with all hardware needed for post mounting.3. Bright and wide light pattern provides good visibility in dim setting, and much brighter in full mode after activated by the motion sensor.Negatives(not many):1. The battery on the first lamp only lasted for about a year before it stared to loose charge capacity. Not to worry as TenKoo stand by their product and promptly solved the issue.Overall, good product and a great company!

Not your typical lamp. it is quite heavy and will need a sturdy place to mount.It has not had a long time of operation but so far, it is doing quite well.The dim mode is not overpowering. When it picks up movement, the bright is very effective but it appears to remain focused inside perimeter of back yard and not intruding into neighbor's.Cycle time to low or dim operation is about a minute from when motion is over.Winter will be a better tell for its ability to recharge and operate.

I purchased this late and tested it it seemed to be very bright. The problem that I have is in the description it indicates that the battery is 8.4 volt @ 6600mah the battery that is actually in it is 4.2 volts @ 1320mah it also states that the on time for the light is adjustable and it is not. I noticed most of the bad reviews are due to the fact that this light does not stay on for very long. Probably due to the fact the batteries half of the size it should be.I emailed the company and ask them about this problem and they were very eager to help me and got back to me right away the increase in capacity and the lower voltage increases the length of time that the light will stay on. The light that I'm having a problem with they were very willing to send me a new one. It's nice to see that there's companies out there that care enough to get back to you if you have a problem thank you very much for standing by your product

finally got it hung up 2 days ago. I mad a support and climbed the telephone pole out front and mounted it roughly 18 feet up on the pole. For what it is and for what I paid for it, Its not too bad. It gives enough light to light up the area safely and get brighter when it detects motion like a person or a car drives under it.it runs all night even with the poor sun light here in the north east during winter.. have no idea how long its going to last but works good right now.ok up date. today is april 13, i have had the light a year and a half now. still up on the telephone pole working great. winter is rough on it. Little day light to charge it up and a longer night use. I will go out by 10 at night at the winter. !@ inches of snow on the grid dosent help it either. during the summer it will last all night.

This ended up being a great solution. Didn't want to have to wire in a regular light but needed something in our woodshed. Took 10 minutes to install and works great. Only had for 1 week, will update if we have problems.Update 3 days in:. So, battery only lasts a couple hours now after dark. Only dropped 2 stars because is raining constantly and little to no direct sunlight. May work better in a more fair weather state, but not a good way to go for Western Oregon.Update 1/14/19:Have been dealing with customer service, and tried a few things to see if there was something wrong. Seems is too cold this time of year for lithium batteries to function properly, so the light was protecting them by shutting down. So is by no means a flaw in the product. We settled on a partial refund, and it gets bumped up to 5 stars for great after sales service and a willingness to stand behind their product.
