Very good box good quality

Paired a Bluetooth keyboard with finger mousepad, doesn't work, I can type with it, but cannot bring up the cursor. The buttons on screen don't highlight when selected, I have to guess at what button I'm on, especially in the settings menu and going through GooglePlay sign in. Also, it came with Kodi 16.1, they're on version 17.3.

I have for years run an HTPC to watch my media. Anyone who has a kid knows they love to watch the same thing over and over again, so it made sense to rip my DVD/BluRay to a hard-drive so sticky fingers and clumsy hands don't ruin everything. I had in the past used a micro PC running an intel ATOM or low powered AMD chip. Then you had to get a version of XBMC/Kodi running.I decided to give a purpose built box a try again. (I had very bad luck with proprietary ones from 10 years ago).After doing my research, it looked like this unit is based on a good chipset that should support all the features and functions I want. For the most part is does. It doesn't make a lick of difference running Android 6 vs 7, so don't get hung up on that. It's the apps running on the box that count. To upgrade the Kodi pre-installed on the box, I had to un-install it and then re-install it from the Andriod APP Store. That brought me up to the current 17.6 version. For the most part it work. Where I find it most frustrating is that the chip doesn't have the drivers or code inside of Kodi to propperly pass through DTS and any of the high resolution sound files like Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD. This is a bit of a limitation if you are a viewer of high resolution 4K movies that have good sound. You are forced to have the sound re-encoded to PMC 5.1 (Dolby Digital) and suffer the sound loss in quality. I find that most suff in 4K played through it. Not nearly as well as my Intel NUC running OpenELEC, but for the family, it gets the job done for a fraction of the price.I have tried to get Netflix to work, but for some reason the menu list of movies is all messed up and you just can't choose what to play. I am not one for getting this to stream from the pirate channels so I don't know how that works. The remote control is mostly functional, but it's missing a major controls like stop, pause.

So far I am impressed with this android box. It is cheaper than the first one I tried, and have had no issues with it thus far. My previous box was horrible, the remote was wonky, the apps didn't work, I gladly returned it and got this box. And I love it. The remote works without any problems, and I can get all the programs I want and more. Excellent price and product so far.

The Sammix box itself is well made and works fine. The three stars only rating is because the of the remote control which is very basic and cheaply constructed and could use a few more buttons on it as well.

This is good box but the only problem I am facing is video freeze. Even though I have changed my provider its same. After running videos for some time it starts freezing and once video is freeze you have to go back and restart and then forward.

Hi, it is a good product but not.coming with a good update, old version of kodi, china addons.
