Excellent taste and absorption!
My son is almost 5. He has been prescribed a very large dose of daily iron since he was 15 months old due to issues absorbing iron, likely due to his Crohn’s disease. He is also autistic with sensory issues and an eating disorder, so finding meds that he likes the taste of is difficult, especially with iron supplements that often have a metallic taste which he does NOT like. When he was little, we used the prescribed iron liquid from the pharmacy which was NASTY, it was unflavored and very concentrated and tasted like a handful of pennies, only a stronger taste of that taste. It took 2 of us to hold him down and force him to choke it down, every day, for 9 months. That experience was traumatic for him and it really affected his willingness to take meds for a long time. We then switched to a multivitamin with iron in it (Enfamil poly-vi-sol+iron) as a maintenance dose per drs orders once his ferritin level had finally reached the minimum acceptable level. At his 3 month recheck his levels were back down to where we started before he was ever taking iron. We refused the liquid as we didn’t want to put him through that again and I found a high iron (45mg elemental iron) chew (similar to a starburst) that had no iron taste (which he decided he didn’t like anymore about 6mo ago so we switched to a 65mg elemental iron gummy I found) as well as nature made iron gummies, and a capsule of heme iron that I mixed in 10mLs of his formula in a syringe everyday, all to reach the dosage he was prescribed (88mg elemental iron). We kept him on all that and a year ago we had to weight adjust his dose (up to 133mg elemental iron) as his levels took a steep dive again. At that time, I found this liposomal iron, which I was excited to try as liposomal iron (much like heme iron) is more easily absorbed by the body and isn’t blocked by dairy/calcium like ferrous sulfate is. He LOVES it. We also added a flinestone+extra iron vitamin tablet at that time since these drops aren’t cheap and he needed to go up by nearly 50mg and this is only 10mg/mL so we were doing 2mL/day of it which makes the bottle last 1 month. He has never been a big fan of the Flinstones ones as you DO get an aftertaste of iron from them, but he took it without too much of a fight, that is, up until 2 months ago when he flat out refused and would cry or spit it out. So I found him a gummy vitamin he likes WITHOUT iron in it, and increased this liposomal iron to 3mL/day to make up for not having the iron in his multivitamin anymore. His iron levels went up while on the liposomal iron quicker than the last time they dropped, and look the best they’ve ever looked actually. I’ve tasted these drops myself and they do taste good, they smell really good too! Another bonus of liposomal iron (again, much like heme iron) is that it doesn’t affect bowel movements, which is super important for him as he has Crohn’s which causes stomach pain and spasms, but also has chronic constipation due to congenital hypotonia (low muscle tone), and we don’t want either of those things worsened. So when his GI doctor heard we were using liposomal iron, he was ecstatic as he’s never been a fan of my son having to take iron due to the GI effects. He’s currently taking 100mg elemental iron total right now as of September in hopes that’s an okay maintenance dose for him. 🤞🏻My only wish is that this was more concentrated, like 20-30mg/mL would be fantastic and then he wouldn’t need his other iron gummies anymore as it would be reasonable to give his entire iron dose in these drops. If Nuvamin ever comes out with concentrated liposomal iron drops I’ll be the first one to grab it up!

Taste really good! Toddler approved
My toddler who was extremely anemic needed a blood transfusion. Doctor said to follow with iron at home we tried so many and couldn’t get him to take it easy. Then I came across this one! Let me tell you night and day difference he takes it with such easy and no iron taste. Only complaint is the dropper they need to improve that.

No bad aftertaste!
Our daughter is very picky, but she actually took the syringe from me and took it herself! The other iron supplement we tried had a strong metallic taste, but the Nuvamin did not have that issue! What a relief to find an iron supplement your kid will actually take!

Tastes much better than other formulations.
This tastes really good, not like iron sulfate. my toddler approves of it. It’s slightly brown/milky color. The only thing I wish for is for a dropper that provides measurements, or a regular cap since they include a measured syringe with the item. Smells good.

Iron
Bought this for my newborn baby who was low on iron at the hospital. I was looking for a clean product without any unnecessary additives and this looks like a clean product.

Great quality
Love that this liquid iron is pretty flavorless. My toddler takes it in his water with no issue so far. Will assess his iron levels in about 45 days to see what the improvements are. We like this product so far!

No fuss!
Worked great! We needed to supplement iron for our 12mo. We started with the prescribed version from the pharmacy, but he was not happy with it. Washing out the syringe after use there was a very strong metallic smell, so I understand why he didn't want to take it. After switching to Nuvamin, no more problems. Administration and clean up was straight forward and easy. Just be sure you confirm the dosing volume with your provider (our prescribed dose was higher then the ranges listed on the bottle).

Good
Good product, doesn’t cause constipation, my child takes it daily, and it doesn’t leave the metallic taste that most iron supplements seem to
