This is great if you are planting more in the shady areas not so well in the sun and takes longer than 10 days most of the time

I was a little late in discovering the benefits of planting this but figured I'd give it a try anyway. I spread the seed the last week of Nov in a zone 9 climate, it's currently 60-70 deg daily, 50s at night. I watered them and they germinated within 2 days. A few days after that I have sprouts with a leaf forming. I probably put down more than needed, but I'm battling some very aggressive deep rooted weeds and acidic, heavy clay soil. Hoping this does the trick. It looks like they all germinated, or at least most of them, the ground looks like it has a 5 o'clock shadow.

Good service and shipping but struggled greatly to germinate even with watering and good rains.

The seed was delivered when promised and is doing really great.

I have purchased winter rye seeds from another supplier that did not perform as well as the seeds from this supplier. I was surprised to see new shots sprouted having a "red hue" to them hence the name I've given them - Russian Reds!They grow very fast! Excellent cover crop choice!I will and have ordered them again!
