Thrilling!
Not going to lie, Grey’s character has totally changed from when we met him in the Death By Daybreak series. I can see other reviews about how his character is not the same one as in that series. Some even commented that because of the drastic change in his character, they were put off.But isn’t that the point?I mean, this man was betrayed by his family, forced to endure torture at the hands of rivals, forced to fall in love with someone who he could never have a life with, repeatedly told that he was the “throwaway prince” and had a very traumatic beginning to his life. However, I’m not naive to think that this should excuse any of his outrageous transgressions now. And believe me they are heinous! BUT, I came into this story knowing it was going to be dark! Stunich is not one to write all sweetness and light. And that’s why I love her! This book is as depraved as it is sensual and half of my mind is fighting the sickening scenes I read, whilst the other half is loving being turned on. What a conundrum my emotional state has been. The only downside is the cliffhanger. I didn’t realise (my stupidity) that it was a series and until around the 70% mark kept thinking it was a standalone. Gutted the next book isn’t out. But I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next instalment with bated breath!

Deliciously Dark!
𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐚 𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐟𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬.What a deliciously dark story that captivates my dark heart. The opening to this book instantly pulls you into this world and Grey is a mystery for sure. 😍𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 …𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 …𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧 …The story is unlike anything I've read, delicious and unbelievably dark with triggers. Grey is a misunderstood guy who morals are showcased as wrong but ultimately isn't understanding his true self.I loved the suprise MM scenes and the confliction Peyton feels, she's innocent and feels what is happening is wrong but in the same breath she is salivating for more. The story is unfolding and i will be diving straight into book 2!

An interesting concept.
This was an entertaining and enjoyable read, and written differently to some other books I have read by C.M. Stuniche. The story draws you in, and you find yourself rooting for the would be bogey man villain. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

A lot... but amazing
First, it needs to be said, read the trigger warnings before reading this. However, this story is just so refreshingly different to all of the other RHs I've read. I'm still not sure how exactly I feel about Grey, very much like Peyton herself, and at one point I thought he would be irredeemable. But alas he's starting to grow on me.Bar Peyton, I feel like the characters are still a bit of a mystery in the best way. I'm excited to see how they develop throughout the series. As always, brilliant writing by C M Stunich. Oh and please please PLEASE keep writing M/M within harems. I love to see it.

Addictive
Honestly I never leave reviews, but I just have to show support for this series.Yes, it’s a pretty dark book - but who says all books have to be sweetness and light? I appreciate how very different this book is from C.M’s other series. It’s honestly one of my favourite books of hers so far and I would hate to see the series changed too drastically down the line. I couldn’t put the book down, I chose no sleep and reading secretly at work over putting this book down. Absolutely loved it!

Three stars
Stars given on level of engagement;5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .

love love love this book!
Once again I have fallen deep in to another extraordinarily written book.Who doesn’t love a dominant alpha male in more ways than one?C.M. Stunich you have once again outdone yourself and I for one can not wait for the next in the series!I am keeping everything crossed that it’s sooner rather than later!

dark, steamy, good writing
It’s an interesting read. I enjoyed the author’s style. Full of character exploration, balancing of what makes a person good vs evil, literary references, etc. I like the way internal thoughts are set apart from regular text. The steamy scenes are next level so be prepared if you are sensitive (or just don’t go there).

6/5⭐ Throwaway Prince
This was an extra star read for me. I really enjoyed this story and thought Cm Stunich did a wonderful job crafting the characters in the story. This place takes place 7 years after see Grey Wolf in the death by Daybreak series however you do not need to read that series in order to read this by any means. It took me a minute to recognize Grey and get reacquainted with him being 7 years in the future but the more I read the more I saw the same Grey. The more the story made sense for the character that we'd met back then. I think it's absolutely brilliant. If you enjoy some D/s Grey is fire as a D. This is a reverse Harem tale told from multiple povs. It feels like the main characters really are gray and Peyton are FMC. It kind of feels like it's both their harems but it really works. But that does not mean Peyton comes around right away. She has a realistic reaction and struggle to the situation. The beauty of reverse Harem is characters can come to things in their own time. And the Playboy character I thought was written really wonderfully wasn't my favorite at first and I don't think he was supposed to be tell you really got into the depths of him and you started to see what Grey and what Payton had seen bits of and alluded to the grey really sees he chose all these people for a reason and by the end I really liked his character a lot. I also see Grey Vision even more so than what you initially think it is. Like I said it's really written brilliantly and beautifully. And I think it's the perfect captive Mafia D/s themes book. The more I read the more I really fell in love with the story and I just definitely highly recommend this book and going into it with an open mind. It has mm that works really well it's really well done. But you still have Rh where you won't feel like anyone's put above fmc. Definitely poetic ... spice and every thing nice we shall say. Definitely Beauty and the Beast retelling vibes and even references to it and I think it's really well done. Again beware of triggers if you're not a fan of D/s themes. And some dubious situations. I thought it was a great balance of story and these themes and how it Works overall. You know what is the captive Mafia forced marriage with a lot of twists. I just highly highly recommend it read it for yourself I don't give too much away
