Great AC
I've had this portable a/c for about 10 days and so far I really love it. It cools my bedroom down very quickly and keeps it cool.Installation: If you watch the sponsored video on installation you won't even need to look at the instructions. It's so easy it's pretty much self explanatory simply by looking at it. One thing worth noting: when shopping for an a/c one of the key pieces of information missing concerning this product is what size window the vent piece will fit. I have a 44" wide window and the adapter fit fine with about 4" to spare. If you have a narrow window you may have to trim to make it fit but anything fairly wide or standard you should be fine.Use: I have run this under high humidity conditions every night and part of the day for 10 days now and have yet to need to drain the water. It says that it uses some of the collected water to aid cooling so it is either evaporating some of the water in the cooling process or this thing has a very large water tank. Either way it works great and I'm still waiting to see how long until I have to drain it and how much water it's holding. If this thing craps out in the near future I'll update the review but so far I have to say it's an incredible value for the price.

Saved me
This item save me last week when my AC went out in the back of the house. I used it in my room in the evening it was it wasn’t too loud. It kept me cool. It wasn’t so expensive. It’s a good investment. Will keep it. good quality highly recommend.

Cools the room cheaply
Using a room a/c to cool a room at night instead of central air is a huge money saver for us. We've a had a few, this one works perfectly fine. It cools the room, its not too loud -- all we asked for. However, like every single portable the venting hose is centered in the middle of the back of the unit, which means it's designed to sit practically in the middle of the room for the hose to be at less than a right angle. We need ours to be in the corner which necessitates the hose kinked like an S to get vented out the window. This is the most absurd design flaw and they all have it. If the hose were attached in such a way that it came straight up the back and then had the flexible portion go out the window it would fit so much better in every room -- I would buy multiple units! As it is if you install one, just know it WILL COOL THE ROOM CHEAPLY but in spite of its relatively small size, to accommodate the venting hose it needs a floor footprint about 4' x4' or the size of a small couch. The design requires either A) you don't have any other furniture under the window or B) you will leave the unit in the middle of the room with an unattractive venting hose the size of a giant python snaking out your window.

Cools my gaming room/office
I bought this unit to keep the small bedroom I use as a home office and gaming room cool when my high-powered gaming PC and gear is running. Those things put out a lot of heat and the little room was getting up into the high eighties in just twenty or thirty minutes. A single central air vent cannot keep up with the heat exhausted from those kinds of electronics in an enclosed space. The little machine (one of the smallest of this style I've seen) was easy to setup. It keeps the room at 72 no matter how hard my systems are running. I've had it a few months and have never had to empty the water tray. Its self-service evaporation works as advertised.

Does the job very well.
I live in Florida and bought this for a bedroom that gets hot like a green house. It was easy to install. Makes noise but less than I had anticipated. Drop some.Drop the temperature in the room to a comfortable level less than an hour. The bedroom is a decent size and it tells the job very well.Bringing it to a nice frigid temperature. Very pleased with this purchase and would buy another one.

Cools!
I purchased the 10,000 BTU in May 2023. If you are going to select a model for a bedroom, this is the minimum amount you want. Although we have Central Air in our house, the bedrooms on the 2nd floor are still very warm in the summer. I purchased this to give my very large Master with extra office space a bit of a boost of AC. I had concerns about window units that hang outside the window and could fall, so I wanted something that was inside the room for the most part. I selected this one based on the reviews, but overall after installing this I think many of them may have received the machine for free since they lacked some important facts. First, I took the time to evaluate every part as I took it out of the box with care. I let it sit for a few days once I moved it into the space I wanted it, to make sure the coolant all fell back into the place. The instructions say 4 hours, but everything I have read online says 48 to be extra sure you have it in perfect working condition. Next, the instructions were not great. If any reviews say you can use this without a window, ignore them. You NEED a window to use this machine. It is not optional. To install the two pieces for the window portion, you need to add the wing nut with the washer on one side and the flat plated screw on the other of the window guard first. Then, slide the other piece of the window guard that doesn't have holes into the other piece and in line with that flat washer screw. However, do not tighten the screw. You want it movable so you can figure out how much length you need to fit your window. What they don't explain in this listing is that you NEED A SAW to cut the excess off of the plastic window fitting if you have anything resembling a normal window size, like me. Otherwise it will block the hole where the big tube goes. Luckily, I own a cordless reciprocating saw which worked perfectly. If you are sawing by hand, be careful to remember that it is plastic and you don't want it to crack. Next, when you place it in the window you will find that the smaller portion doesn't line up with the other window fitting, so you will have a gap. You will also need to buy white stick-on foam (I bought 3/4" white at Lowes for about $5), if you want to keep the bugs out. Even then, I may add some more tape, since there are still gaps. There are also 2 holes that don't align once you connect the tub to the window piece. They serve absolutely no purpose. You will want to tape those closed. You will also receive two extra screws, which serve no purpose. Next, extend just about 5 rings on each of the sides of the big tube so each roll is visible, and slowly/carefully screw the different attachments to each side of the big tube. You need to have them screwed down as far as possible so they do not fall off if you move the machine around a bit in your room to aim the cool air after you connect one to the window and another to the machine. I have no intention of using this to dehumidify, just to cool. However, there is an attachment hose if you do want to dehumidify and for that you will need to attach it to the mid-level connector on the machine in the back that has a plug and put it in a bucket you purchase/own for behind the machine. For the cooling portion, you will still need to drain the machine occasionally when it tells you to though. This was surprising to me. Apparently at some point you will need to unplug the second drain hole that is in the back close to the floor into a pan to remove any water build up from the AC. It says to not attach the hose and auto drain this into a bucket, since a little water in the machine is ok and helps it work better. It is a bit louder than I thought it would be, but after awhile it turns into white noise. I would rather it be cool with noise, than hot and quiet. Lastly I added an oscillating fan next to the machine to help spread the cool air faster. I like that the AC Machine does have a large vent in the front where you can move the vents up or down to aim the air. If you wanted, you could aim it directly at you while sleeping. I would not use this machine for anything other than bedroom or large room where you could close the doors to get its full effect. I never write reviews this long, but I was searching for AC machines for quite awhile as I had concerns about the fact that there were no returns on them. There is no wifi connectivity to any apps for this machine and it does not come with heat. There is a remote control that comes with batteries ready to use. All in all, this AC is a good choice and I am thinking about buying another for another room.
