SPIDER-MAN VS. VENOM OMNIBUS [NEW PRINTING]

The Spider-Man vs Venom omnibus arrived in great condition, classic storytelling and artwork packed in a solid hardcover edition.

I had many of the original books collected in this series, and it was great to re read them in this omnibus. They even had some smaller appearances from other books i had not seen, that showed a little more info about the symbiote suit itself. This was a great and enjoyable bit of nostalgia for a long time collector of memorabilia. I highly recommend this for any Venom fan, either to see how it all started, if you are new, or to walk down memory lane, if you had these books as a kid. 100% worth it.

This book basically gives you everything Venom related up until about 1993 ending with Maximum Carnage. So yeah, all the random crossovers not related to Spider-Man are here, which I think is pretty cool. Definitely the most comprehensive way to collect all of Venom's early origin and battles as well as the first appearance of Carnage. The only story from 93' it doesn't have is Lethal Protector, you'll have to get the Venomnibus for that.Book quality is great, Marvel Omnibuses never fail on quality. In terms of Amazon's price, this is a steal, it can be expensive just to find the out of print Maximum Carnage book and good luck finding all the other Venom related stories too. You could pay like $50-70 for the Birth of Venom + Maximum Carnage trade books, OR you can just get this Omnibus and get all that and way more.Every Venom fan should own this book.

I’ve recently become obsessed with comics and trying to collect and learn as much as I can about characters and great storylines.This omnibus is fantastic in that regard. For anyone looking to learn about all they can about Venom, this is the perfect purchase. The “Sin Eater” storyline is absent here, and that would be beneficial to learning about Eddie Brock’s motivations as he bonds to the symbiote (and might have been a good replacement to the Marvel Presents excerpts in this volume that are more Wolverine vs Venom than Spider-man vs Venom), though I see why “The Death of Jean DeWolffe” is its own separate collection.Otherwise this collection is a great way to indulge in a lot of Spider-Man comics vs perhaps his greatest enemy.

This omnibus is fantastic. I’ve always loved the history of Spider-Man and Venom and the frequent battles between them. All the stories in it are great, but the only thing that’s so preflexing about this omnibus: the title has clearly said “Spider-Man vs Venom”, right? So I don’t understand why this omnihus even bothered to include Wolverine and Darkhawk issues in it there’s also this special Avengers title as well. These issues would have been better off in Venomnibus, not this omnihus since it’s strictly titled “Spider-Man vs Venom” which should be focused solely on the stories about Spider-Man and Venom. Anyways, this is still a fun book to read though.

Once again Marvel releases an omni of great content on horrible quality paper. If they are trying increase their profit margins, I would personally rather they raise the price of the book and print it on better paper, rather than keep the price the same and print it in garbage.
