Simple, well explained exercises
I started guitar lessons back in April 2024. I felt confused and just didn't believe I was making any progress. Then I found Ricky's youtube page. He teaches things that students what to know 1st. Like how to learn the fretboard - something in 6 months my guitar teacher refused to do. I bought this book and I know I'm making progress now. 1 critique I have is the book could do with QR codes for the lessons in order to reach the video that goes with each page. Just remember "EggsFried" & "BaconCrispy". Thanks Ricky

YouTube PDF’s compilation in one book (Vol 1)
My guitar knowledge and playing has vastly improved from watching Ricky’s YouTube channel, the book is a compilation of the PDF’s that accompanies his video lessons, I would definitely recommend that you check out his channel and purchase this book. By doing so, with our support he can continue his great work on YouTube along with publishing further books.

Great book to go with YouTube videos - Very helpful. Full of info from PDF's produced to go with each YouTube lesson posted by Ricky. Compelling viewing for anyone learning to play guitar.

Excellent item book good quality paperback of pdf style lessons content was excellent along with online youtube lessons pdf's are hand drawn but this adds to a personal style lesson helps to support rickys time and content . Cheers Ricky

Great Resource
Very useful especially with you tube videos to accompany it.

I am a senior, novice to guitar and wanting to improve my old brain with a challenge. I came across Ricky Comiskey on YouTube and advanced faster than I anticipated thanks to his teaching methods; He teaches methods and mnemonics that lets you learn guitar easily. He mentioned this book in his videos and I knew I had to have it for two reasons: 1- The content alone is worth the price of the book, but you need the videos to really understand it; BUT his videos are available for free in his YouTube channel. 2- A music teacher would cost a lot more than the price of this book for what it teaches (80 lessons @ approximately 50$/hour), and I wanted to give back to the author for the efforts he put in. I highly recommend this book if you want to learn how to use the fretboard: chords, arpeggios, caged system and much more. And all this in an easy to understand way that won't scare you away from playing guitar. I just wish Amazon would have spiralbound copies of books, but it is what it is.

An absolutely invaluable book for guitarists. Ricky makes lessons easy, fun and interesting. Whether you're a beginner or advanced there is a wealth of information here. Ricky's YouTube channel is also brilliant and links to all the lessons in this book. It's a positive investment and well worth every penny. Brilliant.

This book not only makes understanding the guitar easy for everyone from beginners to advanced players, but it is also supported by online lessons demonstrating each lesson. Ricky is a great teacher, a great student of music theory and above all an exceptional communicator. If you want to understand how the guitar operates as an instrument then this book is for you. If you want to understand how chords are structured this book is for you. If you want to understand how to solo over any song in any key then this book is for you. If you want to understand the CAGED system this book is for you. If you want to get better at playing guitar and learn from a true master then this book is for you. This book is NOT for you if you think you know all the answers because it will probably prove you wrong. This is more than a book. It's a whole way of understanding this amazing instrument and how to get the most out of it. It is a must-buy for anyone serious about learning music and how to interpret your music through the guitar.
