Big sound small package.
Great sound in small package. Kef has been making great speakers for years and these hold up the tradition. Bought them for small vacation home and they fill the room perfectly with great definition and clarity. No subwoofer needed as they have a great range. Bargain for the price.

Feel sorry for KEF
Very disappointed with the sound quality of this speaker from this famous brand name. Human voice is muffled. Definition and sound stage is poor. I bought a pair from KEF direct when they had a special promotion at $200. Even at this price, it is not worth it.See review from What Hi Fi before you buy.

They performed very well and really sound awesome with movies
I have used these speakers for almost 2 years, mostly as front channels in a home theater setup. They performed very well and really sound awesome with movies. I paired with a Def Tech Pro Sub 1000. I would recommend these be paired with a sub for TV and movies.Recently, I began using them in a stereo setup dedicated to music powered by a Dayton DTA 120 AMP rated at 50 w/p/c. I placed the speakers about 10 ft apart on a pair of stands about 1 ft away from the wall and they sound awesome. They really benefit from wider positioning than I was able to do in the home theater setup. The KEFs create a really wide balanced soundstage. Music sounds as if its coming from directly in front of me (half way between the two speakers). If you can find on sale or closeout they can be had for under $300/pair which is a great buy.Pros: Heavy, solid build quality and good looks. Good base extension. Play very loudly without sounding strained or distorted. For the price they are a great speaker.Cons: Not as detailed or as revealing as some of KEFs higher end speakers, namely the Q series.

Best buy awesome sound quality
KEF has long been one of the best speaker manufacturers and it is very good news that this entry level effort does not compromise on the tradition.

After 10 Years still sound like new.Tangerine Tweeter still the best I ever heard in bookshelves.
If you don't have these speakers on a crossover or bass limiter shame on you...bookshelves are not meant for bass; just mid-range bass. It can handle plenty and i have four as the main speaker fronts. friends come over and blown away. If you wanted bass get a 12inch sub add; stop the madness. Which i have an old sony 12 and folks are blown away and its not even turned all the way up. But you do need to a real AV like Yamaha or onkyo to get the most out of bookshelves...for each speaker can be on a custom EQ...don't listen to flat sound without adjustments in anything. A true Audiophile; not a listener who expects something without the knowledge.

A Really Fun Speaker
Great speakers especially for the price. Sound and Vision described these KEFs as having a fun and vivid sound. I have compared these speakers to my other more expensive bookshelf speakers, and I am simply amazed at how well these speakers perform especially with their great soundstage and nice extended high frequencies. Also, the bass is very nice. Definitely, no muddy sound here! It's certainly a mystery to me why one reviewer gave these speakers a one star rating.

Excellentes enceintes
